Doc I *love* organic rosewater (the highest quality) but I've been told by doctors and estheticians (and Dr Dray) that there are NO scientific studies to confirm there are actual benefits of using rosewater except of we feel relaxed by the smell. Also, people with dormant fragrance sensitivity should avoid? Please advise...(Paula from Paula's Choice is a long time critic of rosewater)

Rose water has several properties that are antioxidant and antiinflammatory but yes the research is limited. It is also a much less irritating fragrance compared to other compounds. Like all skincare, it is individualized to the person. I personally love rosewater and think the risks are much less compared to potential benefits AND it can be inexpensive to use.

@@drswatikannan thank you so much Dr Kannan. I'm very very very sensitive to all fragrances, whether artificial (parfum) or "natural" as in Dermalogica products/essential oils. Rosewater (I use Atlantic Aromatics, a 100% organic pure Rosewater with absolutely nothing added) doesn't bother me in the slightest, and it is incredibly refreshing and hydrating even in small quantities. As a fellow PhD, I understand the limitations of research - especially when there are no big name companies willing to conduct studies or commission studies on Rosewater, because there's not much in it for them! Thanks so much for your reply...all the women in my family have used it for generations, and with fabulous results. One more thing: when I don't use it, everyone can easily see the difference...I look very dull/pale and almost anaemic!!!!!! 😊🌹

@@drc4168 yeah I agree, many "natural" remedies lack scientific evidence due to lack of studies. Glad you like rosewater. I also think it's a great ingredient, thus it's in my video :)

is rosemary water effective as well for hair or rosemary oil is better for its effectiveness? Another question is fermented rice water really effective on face or skin?

Rosemary oil is better for hair loss. I am not too sure about the effects on fermented rice water on skin. When we talk about efficacy, it depends on what outcome we are measuring.
