I appreciated the fact that this video wasnt just about large Europeans and the search of the next Dirk. Those are plentiful. Thats why I very much liked a recent take from Johnny Arnett: Closest thing we got to next Dirk, Is Kevin Durant. Bit shorter and quicker, and not a huge European.

Jimmer had a huge ego coming into the league, told the Kings he should be the number 1 option and Cousins was to be his number 2 in his rookie year.. Say what?! Then told Popovich to just let him shoot it, then basically got blackballed for pissing off Pop n David Stern.

To be fair the American players were all drafted where all of the draft experts said they should. Jimmer was arguably the greatest shooter in college history and Noel was #1 on most boards that year. I guess they don’t call them “lottery” picks for a reason.
