I've just got my new routine sorted whereby I go to bed at 9 and get up at 6 so I can actually do college work and here you come along touting a new serious and funny programme, something so delightfully oxymoronic in its nature that I simply can't miss it, I just hope it's not on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, the other days being a bit of a zombie is no big deal.

This advert makes the programme look like a Channel 4, Brooker fronted Day Today. What we got was another same old studio panel show with a slight political bias. Shame really as it could have been brilliant with no audience, a different set and a format tweak /:

Mitchell, Brooker and Carr, the dream team of the smart funny satrical comedians (that aren't on Mock the week or Stephen Fry) Laverne's, well Laverne's not really necessary from my view point but I suppose it gives the channel the security of knowing an experienced presenter is there to deal with any live cockups whilst it also allows the more neanderthalic members of the audience to have something pretty to look at,

People criticise this show for having all liberals in the audience, but that seems preposterous criticism to me. Tories arent funny unless you are laughing at them, can you imagine a tory comedian - it just wouldnt work. A tory audience would laugh at racist and prejudiced stuff, channel 4 arent gonna televise that, they may as well just put Jim Davidson and reruns of Bernard Manning on in prime time.

juat watched this.... um not sure what to think atm, but after seeing 10 ocl I will defo recant the whole "dougie" comment about David Mitchell (very surprised about that tbh)..still Jimmy Carr and Lauren Laverne do feel VERY out of place in the show and dont really contribute anything (like we didnt expect that..).. all in all though still prefer newswipe, ( and I SERIOUSLY think they should remove the audience as it clearly goads the presenters into apealing to their sensitivities.. )
