can't believe this video doesn't have 100k views. really deserves more attention.

Oh wow I played Zero Divide before as a kid. You just unlocked a memory.

The reason Rival Schools doesn't have a lot of side content is because they cut all of it from the Japanese version. It originally had an entire dating sim mode and a custom character maker, but they didn't translate it when they brought it overseas

Oh no way?? I had no idea, that's insane though LOL

I feel like my channel is slowly turning into fighting game niche 😅 really loved this video. We gotta do a netplay collab someday

Congrats on blowing up dude. Don't let this video's likely relative underperformance discourage you. Maintain momentum and the algo will reward you.

I'm not bothered by it, I'm proud of the video and that's more important to me :) I've got a lot of stuff planned for this year too, might as well do them

Great video. How about more ps1 fighting games. I mean there is gulty gear: the missing link. And many more weird fighting games

I thought about including Guilty Gear in this video actually! I just thought it was considered a pretty "core" fighting game series so I decided not to

Hey, just found you through your four swords video and Im glad I did, these are super well made. I usually just have youtube on as background noise for the most part, but Ive just watched both these videos back to back and I was interested the whole time. So yeah, just wanted to say youre making some real cool stuff and youve got a new subscriber here. Cant wait to see what else you have planned! Have a great day man

I’m really glad to see that you enjoyed Bushido Blade! It’s a game I’m incredibly fond of because of how unique the idea is If you do another one of these, take a look at the PS2 or Sega Saturn, they’ve got some wild FGs on those consoles

rival schools looks sick, also psychic force feels like a proto tenkaichi game.

fun fact: two of these games have Capcom cameo fighters in them, those being Sakura from Street Fighter Alpha 2 in Rival Schools, and Skullomania from Street Fighter EX in Fighter Maker!

I recommend trying out the sequel to Psychic Force (Psychic Force 2012 / Psychic force 2 depending on console) its a really great game that takes everything from the first one and expands on it, refining the gameplay and adding some more mechanics that fit well.

0:30 I never thought anyone would ever mention Rascal ever in my entire life. Got it for free when the DoD library on base swapped locations. It is NOT a fun game

NONE of these fighters were obscure when the PlayStation came out. Yeah, they’re obscure by today’s standards, where a handful of franchises survived into the 2010s, but there’s basically nothing in here. A lot of these games had sequels, and some even into the following generation. If you want any a single, actually obscure fighter, go try Slap Happy Rhythm Busters. You’ll probably get a kick out of it.
