Eddie Guerrero's passing probably hit me the hardest back in the day. Whether he was playing a heel or a hero in the ring, he was genuinely a good man outside the ring. Everybody ultimately has personal responsibility for their actions. On the other hand, I think if ever there was a case where you had mitigating circumstances, this would be it. He was missing a large percentage of his brain. We now can see from interviews with friends and family of Mike Webster, Junior Seau, and others how CTE totally changes the person's personality, perception, and overall emotional and cognitive abilities. I am not trying to excuse the evil but trying to comprehend the two "personas."

Last Drop Falls you do understand that the cte destroyed his brain right which cause someone to go crazy so basically Chris killed his family while he was mentally fucked then the next day he found them and killed himself after realizing what he did it if Vince paid closer attention to Chris’s mental health he would not have done what he did sadly cte wasn’t even researched back then and it led to a man killing his family if you don’t believe me look up hockey players and people who died as a result to cte most of them killed themselves some even attacked people before killing themselves as cte makes a person aggressive then depressed making them kill themselves I’m not defending Chris Benoit I’m explaining what made him do what he did

Though it is terrible what Chris benoit did , his brain was swiss cheese, he lost his best friend and he had to work constantly, even on fathers day. One of his finishing moves was literally a flying headbutt. It's horrible that he did what he did but the WWE could've done something to avoid that tragedy in the first place.

Being a kid in the 80s and 90s and being a huge fan, it was crazy watching your heroes drop dead in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.these men were supposed to be the epitome of strength and vitality. Later I came to understand that they were destroying their bodies in the ring, and destroying their minds and spirits on the road which would ultimately leave them a husknof a human being 30 years faster than a normal life. Nancy's sister, Sandra, was one of my best friends in junior high. I met Nancy when she was in a relationship with Kevin Sullivan before the story line was changed to where she was having a relationship with Chris who she married. Chris had went through a lot the last few months. The death of his dear friend, Eddie Guerrero and also ALOT of physical pain. Chris was a good guy until he wasn't. I can count on one hand how many matches I've watched and that's because I have 4 boys. My heart and prayers still go out to Sandra and her family and to Chris's family and his older kids. They all lost a person known as Woman in the ring, but Nancy to many of us. Sandra spends time with Chris's oldest son ( he looks just like his Dad ). I do think that as talent he was AWESOME, and I blame most of his actions those 2 days to not being in the right state of mind. Hall of Fame, I have mixed feelings and I lean towards the side that WWE and Nancy and Daniel are on and that's him not being inducted. Maybe later down the road and although it's been a long time, I don't think it's been enough. R.I.P Eddie, Nancy, Daniel and even Chris. Of course to their family and friends keep them alive through stories and pictures and for the love they gave everyone.

Grew up hearing WWF and "World Wrestling Federation" and because of a lawsuit from the wildlife conservationist organization, WWF, the wrestling company was forced to change its name to "WWE". My first thought was because the Vince is dead storyline was going on was that Benoit’s death was part of the story line as well, but then the show opened up with his tribute and seeing interviews of everyone crying, I then realized it wasn’t a story going on and that my childhood favorite wrestler was gone. First Eddie, then Benoit. The only 2 wrestlers I really cared for much after that was Kurt angle and orton. Angle left for tna and I quit watching wwe after that for a long time. Partly regret not watching because I missed the rise of punk and all the pipe bombs and all of that in that era but I still try to keep up on it every now and then. Glad edge is back and orton is still going strong. I might get back into consistently watching one day, but ever since Benoit and Eddie died and Kurt retired, sadly the wwe died with them for me

Regarding Chris Benoit, regardless the ultimate reason why he did what he did, which will most likely never be fully learned, the root cause was in fact the wrestling industry as a whole, as it existed at the time. The unrealistic physical endurance expectations placed on talent by not just the WWE, but every other promotion as well, has always been the perfect recipe for personal disaster, as evidenced by the ever-rising number of "early" unfortunate deaths of wrestlers. These companies chew up talent, literally, then spit them out in pieces, all for the "entertainment" of the fans.
