the first plants i evr grew from seed was aloe vera from a seed kit from urban oufittters. it worked!!! i think 4 of the five seeds grew and then on died. two i gave as gifts to friends. one got gifted again to a third friend(bc my friend was movin countries) and its still alive

where do you get your monstera seeds. is it done in a sustainable way?

Do you guys have recommendations on if some seeds have sprouted via the diy method, and others haven’t? I have pink polka dots that popped up easily but only one white, and no red are having such luck. I did cover the cells that haven’t sprouted, with plastic, but they have been there for like 2+ weeks ☹️. Mini umbrella seeds haven’t had much luck either and my eucalyptus have been sprouts for weeks. Also, they’re in an enclosed porch with indirect sunlight most of the day.

sorry about the super late reply! You can feel free to email about this(hello@plantflix) with more details about the setup so I can help, but in general polka dot plant seeds are quite hardy and I use them as a sort of indicator for how healthy the setup is, so if you're not getting high germination rates with those then that tells me the setup usually needs some tweaking :)

If you're gardening indoors and it's warm enough in your home(or you have a heat mat), you can start seeds any time of year!
