he actually didn't. He was so good that he avoided massive damage. Randy was the only fighter at that time to land a decent punch on him. Randy, who was a wrestler, dropped him in his prime. Chuck was ahead of the game, his aggressiveness made him the star he is. Chucks style today would crumble. Todays fighters know how to counter that simple style. He did over stay his welcome, but when chuck got hit hard, chuck dropped. Thats true for his entire career. Todays fighters have Chuck to thank, because they know what will happen if they cant handle a pure brawler...but back in chucks day, that style was the only one that sold. Chuck just blasted people. It worked, because it was in the hayday of mma. Look how long every other sport has been around compared to mma. Chuck is a goat, he is a hall of famer no doubt, but i have to agree, he has a weak chin. There are plenty examples now of older fighters who can still take a punch.

Hendo was only ever KO'd by Vitor Belfort, a man known for his explosive knockout power. No shame in getting TKO'd by a primed Gegard Mousasi either. Even after Hendo's chin got cracked he could still take a shot.

@@agentorange1156 You're forgetting Shogun has heavy hands for a Light-Heavyweight. Also he connected with a clean uppercut on Hendo, it rocked him but amazingly Hendo didn't get knocked out. Lombard? Same story except at Middleweight. Hendo's chin is something else, even when it got cracked he was still very durable.

I'd say more questionable fight IQ. The man made some very poor decisions in the cage which cost him fights. He plodded forward against Travis Browne in a fight Reem was easily winning on the judges scorecards and got finished with repeated telegraphed front kicks to the face. He underestimated, clowned and got KO'd against Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva in another fight he was handily winning. Probably the worst instance was him not recognizing victory was within his grasp against Stipe Miocic when he dropped the champion, Reem could have finished the fight with vicious ground and pound, but instead went for a guillotine which Stipe got out of and the rest is history. You could also count Jairzinho Rozenstruik as well given that Reem was winning the fight handily until he got caught, but he was already well past his prime by then and wasn't getting another crack at the belt.

In defense of Luke rock hold he doesn’t necessarily have a weak chin he just had a big problem of not seeing the lead hook he got caught by bisping with left hook Larry he has actually absorbed some pretty decent amounts of damage respectfully and getting K.Od by fighters like vitor, blachovic, and Yoel is nothing to use as an insult they all hit like trucks

It’s more about the head snapping in one direction then the other causing the brain to move that’s knocking these fighters out, from being caught angle off and not processing what strike to avoid. Or from too much head injuries. (Chuck)

Cody showed he actually does have a chin in his last fight, even though he lost. Its just in the fights against TJ Dillashaw and Pedro Munhoz he had terrible striking defence, leaving his chin in the air while swinging wildly. TJ and Pedro do hit pretty hard as well.

the guy i always think of and i cannot remember his name, was probably the mid 2000s and he was this really muscular bald black guy, i know that doesnt narrow it down much. i think he had a goatee mustache thing, but he came into the UFC and was getting a lot of attention because he kept having these spectacular knock out wins. but then he started getting knocked out cold as well, but it was the kind where he would go full limp and fall but then wake back up really fast and so he get mad and protest saying it was stopped too early, even though he had clearly been out stone cold while he was falling. EDIT: i tracked it down, it was Houston Alexander. i totally forgot he is the guy that basically got fired after he lost to Kimbo Slice in i think it was Kimbos UFC debut and Dana definitely wanted someone to go finish him.

Luke Rockhold's chin is not as awful as usually perceived. Sure, he doesn't have the greatest chin in the world, but he ate some good shots from Blachowicz and Romero who both flatline people, and from a prime Weidman who was no slouch at the time and packed a mean punch.

Liddell is not being fair to him. If we go with that, Jens Pulver and Anderson Silva should be here as well. They had good chins, and Silva had the benefit of being so elusive you wouldn't hit him anyway, but after getting caught one time too many those chins faded and they were easily punched out. And Rockhold being here, even when we like to joke about it, is also unfair. The only man to KO Rockhold in the big leagues who is *not* a monster puncher or a roidhead is Bisping. Belfort is a roidhead and he was in his mythical TRT Vitor phase when they fought, Blachowicz has the Legendary Polish Power and Romero is both. And heavyweight is a division where no one has a chin because everyone hits so damn hard your power has to be an abnormality like Lewis or Ngannou to stand out. And both Overeem and Arlovski have the honor of having been Ngannou'd as well, so

I think its more the punches Bisping landed that earnt Rockhold the criticism that he has a glass jaw, as Bisping is not a power puncher. Bisping is known more for being a 'pillow-fisted' volume striker with a high pace than a KO artist. Whatever the case, if you're a world class fighter KO'd by Michael Bisping its not a good look.
