I love this series! Really interesting to learn by you reorchestrating your melody/composition with different textures and techniques, and the results sound great :-) I can hear the Herman-isms, Williams-isms, Sylvestri-isms and so on, and really cool to get to look under the hood and se how you make the magic happen so I can try these things myself! Keep it up, really love your stuff :-)

Your tutorials are a wonderful resource! Thank you SO much. As an exercise, I'm currently doing a mockup of the Psycho Prelude so I immediately recognized the violins' chromatic third pairs in your #22. I will also be borrowing that and many other Hermmann techniques. I love your 50s TV noir piano line too. Your best secret sauce, of course, is your musicality. The orchestrations are wonderful but they would lie flat without the truly idiomatic musical gestures you give each instrument. Your harmonic language is another secret sauce you deploy to wonderful effect. After I finish the Psycho project, I'm going to create my own short melody and imitate your orchestrations. I'm going to steal it all and learn! Thank you!

Mattia, the content you are creating is amazing. Thank you! Would it be too much to ask if you could share the sheet music in orchestral pitch, but written all out? In many cases you write horns+ trumpets, or different combinations and I am not sure how exactly voices are doubled. Also if you could add the dynamics. Would be amazing. I know this is a lot to ask, maybe I could ask just for one example so I can understand more? Let me know. Thanks so much for everything

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I’m sorry if the explanations are not clear enough. I figured between me explaining the concepts, seeing the the midi and having score/piano reductions you’d be pretty much covered without me spending weeks on a single video 😀 If I were to talk in detail, these videos could easily be hours long, and I don’t think many people would want to watch them. I appreciate your feedback and sorry if it doesn’t fully satisfy you

Thanks for the tips!! This is really helpful, especially your nod to the ET song! Any suggestions for how to keep things from getting messy? Seems like the more instruments I add, the less clarity I have and I really want the notes to have space around them. My trumpet library from Cinebrass is also extremely shrill. I’m writing a march that has a nod to Superman. Do you take submissions and give critiques?

Hi Mattia. For the opening swell in 21 you basically have a 6 note voicing of Abm chord swell and you have 8 instruments playing this. How are the instruments divided?
