This channel has really helped me get more from Logic as a newcomer to it and it always brings new things that I wasn’t aware of. I just don’t have the time to delve and find things without a little direction. Every time I watch there is something that I go, wow, that is what I need to do that. I wouldn’t have found by myself. Logic is a wonderful tool made better, for me, by your guides. Thank you

Wow, I just discovered you. I’ve been watching tutorials from other people, and they suck. And you are like a breath of fresh air. I’m in garage band slowly going to convert over to logic pro and there’s so many things in garage band that I just can’t stand and discovering this video is going to make me download logic pro tomorrow. Thank you for being so good. I’m going to try to look up some of your other videos. Hopefully you have some beginners stuff. I’m not a beginner as a musician but I’m definitely new to logic!

Great video! When I hit capture record after playing several chords WITHOUT hitting play before then my midis are arranged above each other and just play s small note length - the timing and length of the notes aren’t transferred properly, it’s just capturing which note I played. If I hit play before everything just works fine. On a side note: if you cycle a certain part and you’re just hitting notes while trying out your new synth and you find a really awesome melody by accident then you can also hit capture record and it shows you all the different loop variations you just played as alternative tracks and you can switch in between them and choose the best you just played. You have to have activate the option that it doesn’t overwrite tracks if you record in cycle-mode but instead creates alternative tracks. I believe this option is inside the recording settings!

Ace channel, thank you for all your tips. A question if I may? Do you know if Logic has a way to set a track as the output of another for recording? So, hit record on the track and then, say, fade rides of the input track are then recorded to it? Cheers, bro!

would be very very interesting a video in which you explain how to clean up harshness from vocals and instruments with stock plugins only. I know out there there are a lot of good plugs like Soothe2, ProQ3 and such but I'll be very happy to learn how to achieve such task with Logic plugins only, do you think is that possible?

hiya.. quick silly question ..still on the bug ridden 10.5.1.!. was wondering ..some of my projects open up in smpt/time in the main timeline screen ..as opposed to the normal bar count view ..cant find the setting to change this.. also it wont let me draw a cycle length.. it only works in the transport window or region edit window.. thanks

On chase midi if you use the cycle a lot you need to Chase on Cycle Jump and click notes as well. Otherwise it sometimes won't play the first note even if it's perfectly on the one.
