Great show! I'd recommend looking into Ven. Matt Talbot, an Irish ascetic, who if canonized would likely become the Patron Saint of alcoholics. He became a heavy drinker at 12 years old and it wasn't until his late 20s when he finally became sober. He became very devoted to Christ and lived a life of self-denial while working a manual labor job. Despite the fact he made very little money he was known to be very generous and charitable with what little he had. He even refused his strike pay and asked that it be distributed among his fellow workers. He awoke early every morning so that he could attend Mass before work and spend his Sundays attending multiple Masses. I've felt a particular devotion to him as someone who has struggled with alcoholism myself. Whenever I feel down and want to beat myself up I like to reflect on one of his quotes "Never be too hard on the man who can’t give up drink. It’s as hard to give up the drink as it is to raise the dead to life again. But both are possible and even easy for our Lord. We have only to depend on him"

That's awesome I've heard of Matt Talbot before but did not know this history about him I have been sober for over 10 years and last year completed steps 1 through 8 and I'm still working on steps 9 through 12. I'll have to read about his story.

Blessed Father Seelos. Amazing story of an Austria priest who served over here in America during the 1800s. Known as the "Cheerful Ascetic." Died from yellow fever in New Orleans while ministering to those suffering from the disease. You should do another list of people who should be saints and include him in the next one.

The reason they don’t want Archbishop Fulton Sheen to be canonized is because there is a big push for progressivism in the church all religions equal and there is a big push where the church is divided mostly and a half over being a traditional Roman catholic and I’m not talking about how the masses held I’m talking about just the case of morals and if you look back at Archbishop Fulton Sheen‘s video agra fee you will see that a lot of things that are going on now he was calling out way back then and calling Catholics and people of goodwill to go back to traditional roots rooted in family and faith.

On the topic of our siblings in the Church Triumphant, has the 2004 Martyrologium Romanum officially been translated from Latin to English yet? Since the Latin typical edition’s publication (in June of that year, if I’m not mistaken) the number of Blesseds & Saints has increased so much that it’s almost worth a whole new Martyrologium Romanum.

Blessed Pier Giorgio never even dated Laura Hildalgo. He brought her home to meet his parents once. They didn’t care for her because she was poor, orphaned and was caring for her younger brother. As a result he never pursued a romantic relationship with her because he feared to disrupt his family. His parents were in the process of divorcing at the time. He never even kissed Laura. She never even knew that he loved her until many years after his death. I received this information directly from Blessed Pier Giorgio’s sister Luciana and his niece Wanda.

@@ccbarr58 Central/South Native Americans were murdering themselves in the form of gruesome pagan sacrifices long before the conquistadors showed up. Mayans and Aztecs destroyed what are theorized to have been millions of innocent lives - children included, many times handpicked - in the name of appeasing their gods. "Genocide" is not the right word to describe Euro-Native relations in Latin America. Most of Latin America remains mestizo, and thankfully now Christian, where Christ's Ultimate Sacrifice converted the hearts of former pagans and put an end to their own, self-inflicted mass murder. Please look up the story of the Guadalupe and the sociological Spanish-Indigenous tensions that led up to Our Lady's intervention.

Also, We don’t know the secret lives of anyone and I also think some people are declared saints and you have to wonder if they really are especially when they didn’t have the necessary miracles. Personally, I think there is almost too many people being promoted as saint these days (especially to those who start religious orders). Sainthood shouldn't be dispensed out like Pez candy, less it loses its mystique and luster. Simply being popular shouldn't be the criteria for sainthood. I am not sure what the answer is, but I'm feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the message that is being sent by the quantity and speed of people being promoted to full sainthood.

Pope Pius saw that not only were Jews given new papers, so were Nazis so that they could get away. The problem with Flannery O'Connor is not one of her not being *sensitive enough* as you so laughably put it. She was a bigot who did not want to sit next to black people and was disgusted by black people being able to use the same restroom. She was upset that her cousin had to take classes with black people. That is not the attitude one would wish displayed by a saint. Your dismissal of the unfavorable view of her writings as presentism is really offensive.

Wrong, they are either saints or they are not. It's not up to the church. They only recognize what is. They don't cause it to be.

We understand that. But "10 People Whose Admittance into Heaven among the communion of saints which have not yet been formally recognized by the Church." doesn't quite fit into the title field.

I love Bishop Sheen, however, I as read more about the lives of the saints and mystics of the Church, I dont think he’s great saint tbh. There are a lot of imperfect elements come to this, I dont like to pick apart a good person like him. There is also no miracle on his name so we have to pass.

Venerable Fulton Sheen is one of the Holiest men to ever live, a Living Saint. He does have confirmed Miracles. your calumny and gossip is mortally sinful.

@@JPX7NGD I believe he is on heaven right now for his good deeds but high places or God's inner course, I dont think so. What gossips, i said i saw many his imperfections but I did not tell anyone or pick it apart. Maybe I should because for others to learn from that. Not all people have the high prestige of sainthood, the Vatican does the right thing, fair and square, it has been like that for thousand of years. You are the one who knows nothing tbh. God bless!

hell is a long time calumniator, that’s a mortal sin. so is gossip. that means lying to defame and talking about someone (usually yo lie to defame) begins someone’s back respectively. I call tell by your intent this would become the sin That Cries To Heaven For Vengeance of blasphemy as well. Venerable Fulton Sheen is one of The Holiest and Smartest men to EVER Live. you will deny this but cannot say why, because if you do then you would have no possibility to deny the sins you seek to commit for the sake of h*r*tics pretending to be Catholic. Venerable Fulton Sheen IS a Saint, and has multiple Confirmed Miracles, no one is shocked about that but the uninformed like you (which you project by the mortal sin of despair to try to d*mn others in your place, which is based in the capital sin of pride). The cause for recognizing his Sainthood is stalled because the infiltrators he exposed throughout his life are still in control of the “Vatican” you worship instead of be in The Church; once one is.Named Blessed, their personal archives are made public, and Sheen has the the only copy of all of Bella Dodd’s personal records of all the people she put into The Church and government while head of the communist party of the USA.

@@JPX7NGD I do it everyday, dont worry 🥰 the different is my labor in Christ is love; obedience in the Church, the Pope, the Magisterium; and truthfulness. Yours is in lies, false witnesses, idolizing mortal man, hate and rudeness to people who tell the truth. I am more worrying for you, my dear! People like you, i believe is living in despair, dryness of love and prayer, there is no peace of the Holy Spirit in you. That is why you cannot see what is right and wrong 🤭

It is only when God approves that they can become saints and the only way to know if heaven approves is the miracles they perform. So I believe if there is no miracle performed by a person then they can not be saints. Everything is about God not us humans because God sees everything, seen or unseen. We have no right as humans to impose to God who should be His saints.
