God is full of wonder in the person of Jesus Christ, the very Roman empire that tried to kill Him and erase His faithful servants is what was taken over brought to submission and has been laid in dominion for the last 2,000 years as the capital for Christ's own empire on earth. So He undoubtedly answered the Israelites' expectation of what they wanted from the Messiah, to this day Our Lord Jesus has Rome as a holy captive and capital for His Kingdom on earth.

Hello! Forgive me my peculiar theory, but I have some ground to believe Jesus always had a body pre-dating His incarnation and furthermore, He was the particular person of the Trinity who appeared before Moses in the burning bush. For think on this: how could a mere mortal handle the beatific vision of seeing and hearing God, the Father, in this realm on Earth? Why, I find it incomprehensible and impossible to accept. However, the Word made flesh is another story! Additionally, Jacob who became Israel, did so after wrestling with an 'angel', correct? Yet, isn't the literal translation of 'Israel', "He who wrestles with God"? If that be so, which it is, wouldn't it logically follow that it was Jesus who wrestled with Jacob/Israel? Again, I say Jesus was the instrument of communication and deliverance with Moses in the olden times for mere mortals could not handle the immensity of God, the Father, and He is the Word incarnate, is He not? He who was to become man planned long before doing so? I strongly believe it so, both logically and intuitively. Jesus wasn't recognized by His disciples after His resurrection (I venture because He was beheld a fully healthy and fleshly perfect visage, in addition to a glow-like aura, unlike His savaged gaunt end of life visage before His crucifixion) and many acts of the Old Testament was done in person by Jesus Himself. I'd gladly welcome any feedback- positive or negative. I've been reading The Douay-Rheims Bible cover to [eventually] cover and this perspective came to me, and clearly I'm taken by it and do hold it so, but I respect you, Fr. Rehill, and at a minimum at least would pause to hear your perspective. Thank you for your service and dedication to Our Lord, May Our Blessed Holy Mother and Queen bestow upon you any and all graces which you require! And Merry Christmas!

Happy "Holidays" comes from "Holy days" so it's not actually anti-Christian like the world would like to believe. Joke is on them. God is the ruler of all things!
@austenl436 сағат бұрын
True enough, but we both know people use it as an evasion of saying "Merry Christmas" for one reason or another.

Thank you for the message Father. I have one question; why is a screaming child allowed to disrupt the Mass?
@barbwellman66866 сағат бұрын
Because Christ was a "screaming Child."

The Bible is the inspired word of God 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 1 Corinthians 10:4 “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Samuel 2:2 “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Mark 7:7. “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” 1 Timothy 4:3 “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1Ti 3:2 - A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Tit 1:7 - For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Rev 3:16 - So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Better to be a born again Christian and find a good home Bible study group.
