(lol hi its me 3 years later and ive kinda changed my opinion on this now that im older. they should definitely be free for poorer people, homeless people, just people in need in general. but for the public as a whole, pads, tampons, etc need to stop being taxed as a luxury because having a period is not a luxury. in some places condoms are given out for free but feminine products are not. for example, in some public restrooms tampons/pads are available but you have to pay 25-50 cents for it which makes no sense and is unfair to people who really need them. so rather than making them free, they need to be way cheaper bc either way these companies would still be making hella money.)

My Story: I was 13 years old 1/9/18 I was at school when I first got my period and I was getting the worst cramps ever, I also felt wet down there, At first I thought it was discharge so I just left it, Later that day during class I asked to use the bathroom and when I made it to the bathroom I sat down on the toilet and waited, then I looked down and saw my underwear, my underwear was filled with blood and was completely destroyed, I also realized I was staining my paints,I panicked but right away knew it was my period and I wasnt the type of girl that was prepared to be on her period I litterly forgot periods existed so I graved some toilet paper and wraped it around my underwear for now then graved my school sweater and wraped it around my waist then I went back to class, I didn't want to tell The male music teacher so I just waited until class was over, when class was over I went to the nurse office and asked for a pad and then continued the rest of the day at school, when my mom picked me up I told her what happened and she started laughing and I got mad🤣and then she told me everything about periods. Krystal Whitty girl u should go to the doctor right away.. I was like that i would miss 3 months then my period last for months but i didnt want to say anything about it and when i did i was bleeding for 3 months and the doctor told me i lost a lot of blood, my blood count dropped to a 9 and i had to get on iron supplements 3 times a day everyday and birth control pills to help regulate my period. Birth control regulated me its just scary to take. Dont loose too much blood not going to the doctor it harms your heart and if u loose enough u will need blood transfusions.

Fraley family Vlogs Actually have girls have period becahse it shedding the utirine lining because you aren't pregnant, not because you need room for a child. What kind of BS is this? And tampons don't keep the blood in, they soak up the blood. Also tampons don't go into the uterus so it wouldn't even affect the space that a child would have in the womb. I got mine when I was 9.. that was 10 years ago lol I see the majority of the people in this comment section are new to periods so here's some advice: Every girl gets their period at some point (unless something is wrong) so DO NOT be embarrassed about getting your period. I've had mine for more than half my life already so I'm pretty comfortable talking about it. If you ever need a pad or a tampon don't be afraid to ask someone for one no one is going to judge you! Also don't be afraid to use a tampon, they don't hurt they just take some getting used to because it's a little difficult to figure out how to use them the first few times. And my last piece of advice is if you're young and you just got your period or if you get blood on your pants or if someone sees a pad in your backpack- if anyone laughs at you (always an immature boy) don't feel embarrassed! You wanna hear my first period story? Well I was at this camp for a WEEK. The second day is where it all started. I noticed this brown spotting on my underwear so i thought I shit my pants and I was wearing LIGHT BLUE PANTS so it went through but I didn't even notice and I was biking all around camp and biking standing up so everyone saw the spotting. The same thing happened for like the next three or four days but the fifth day, I had so much blood on my underwear but again, it was brown so I thought I had diarrhea and shit myself 😂 so my mom pulled me over to tell me to go in the bathroom and wash myself, I wiped myself and there is the shock, the blood on my toilet paper so I got a pad and I was so embarrassed that I was walking around camp with bloody pants like oml fml😂😂

I had my first period at my bday party while wearing white shorts. It went away for 5 months after my first one and came back on Christmas Eve. It went away for 2months and came back while I was in school wearing bright pink pants. Then a month later it didn't come so for 2 days I wore a pad Incase and it didn't come, so for the next 5 days nothing happened, but then it came while I was wearing white pants in school. All those times when it came unexpectedly that I said, I wasn't wearing a pad and it didn't leak through my underwear and embarrass me. A month after that it came on schedule while I was prepared wearing a pad while I was at school. The one time it came on schedule and I was prepared wearing a pad, it leaked onto my pants. No one said anything at school and when I got home I noticed.😑

I went home at the end the school day and my knickers was full of blood and I had a terrible stomach ache and I didn’t know what to do but my mum kept on telling me about periods so I don’t know what I was terrified about but I was terrified about having to tell her, I got dressed in my pyjamas and got my knickers in my hand, my mum was inside of my bedroom putting stuff on the raidiator and I went to her and was kinda awkward and nervous so she knew something was up, I had my hands behind my back with the knickers in my hand and I just ran to the spare bedroom and showed her and I just started silently crying I made sure she didn’t see my face and I was just terrified, nervous, scared, embarrassed, sad and lots of emotions but then the next day we had a trip and I was actually happy I told my mum, I put on a pad the next day and went to school and got on the coach and had a great day, I came home, that pad didn’t work cos I was heavy, so then my mum gave me these other pads and they were great 👍🏻 I’m happy I shared that cos I haven’t told anyone, even my best friend, it feels go to share something. 😁
