The North Sentinelese have been contacted before. In 1880, a British colonial administrator (Portman) landed on the island with some men and kidnapped six Sentinelese - an elderly couple and four children. They fell ill and the couple died. The children were returned to the island with assorted gifts. I feel sure that this bizarre alien abduction has become part of tribal lore, contributing to the locals vigorously resisting further incursions.

Simon did more than one video on the Sentinelese in the past too, explicitly mentioning the kidnapping and murders by the British navy. However, because Simon neither learns from nor seems to pay attention to his own videos, many such errors occur.
