Ozil (or oezil however it's spelt) may have the 2nd most assists last season in the premier league and yes he did win the World Cup. He still shouldn't be on this list. The 2014 World Cup had probably one of the best Germany sides of all time. You had neuer, boating, hummels, Lahm, kroos, schwinstiger, muller, gotze (on the bench) klose, the list goes on. They didn't have reus due to injury but the didn't need him. Ozil was also not needed you could have put Rooney in that midfield they would have still won the World Cup. Germany won that World Cup, not mesut Ozil. The 2nd most assists on the other hand is a great achievement but the reason but if you don't win games for your club then your gonna be criticised for going missing (and Ozil has a history of going missing in the big games) alexis Sanchez is a better player not cause he racks up the most passes or completes the most dribbles or provides the most assists in a season, it's cause he drags his team through the mud to win a game and when he's injured he is missed, when Ozil is injured it's a blessing.
