I've honestly never liked Pikachu. Not a fan of Raichu either, but I do like it a bit more than Pikachu since I think it looks cooler. But, the Magnemite line is almost always my go-to Electric types. Basically the only time I don't use them for my Electric-type spot is if I'm making myself use Pokémon I haven't used already.

We think calling something stupid can be factually inaccurate in certain situations. There is a difference between "stupid" and "bad". It's like calling Einstein stupid. You can have the opinion that the move to make 2 games is dumb but technically it is only a positive thing for both Game Freak and the franchise. There is no middle ground. He was smart. This does not = consumer satisfaction regarding multi-versions. It is an opinion. Would a gamer want a... Hmm... For example... A Battlefield game that only has sniper weapons available, and a must trade with someone with "assault class" to gain access to other weapons as a good move as it allows "sociable aspects"? Sure... Such a game would gain money, and a lot of it. It doesn't mean it is universally the "correct, smart" way... Some people will like the need to trade... Others won't. Opinion.

I have been playing Pokemon since the beginning. I have never battled competitively, I wanted to catch them all (and I did 4 times). But these games are so incredibly deep and have so much that i keep learning the more I play- like i never paid attention to IVs or EVs or I couldn't even begin to pretend to be an expert on breeding. It is crazy

How is battling with monsters inherently male???? I also do not see why girls should like the new professors more... Even if you assume all girls are straight, this is just ridiculous. I wish, you would have thought those sentences through. Even if I guess you tried to break those stupid gender norms, you just reinforced them. :( I know I sound very nitpicky, but when I was younger I struggled with a lot of those weird gender norms. It made me feel, like I could never be a proper girl, because I did not behave like "normal" girls. I guess there are some young children watching your videos who have the same issues. Just adjusting a few words can make a ton of difference and leave them feeling better with who they are. I still love your videos though. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the video nonetheless, but we never said that anything was inherently male or female. Battling Monsters does appeal to the general male population more than it does to females. (It's kinda mandatory to generalize when disproving misconceptions. It's just how statistics work) I'm not saying it's a good thing. It's just how things are. That's why it's better if you, for example, love Pokemon. But we weren't even trying to break any gender norms in the first place, just disproving the misconception that Pokemon is ONLY for males. (which it isn't) Considering more than 95% of Pokemon fans are straight (based on national percentages) Game Freak has to generalize the demographics when creating the game. So it's totally true that they are keeping tabs on what boys and girls like. I have a feeling that your just looking at our points from a unique and personal perspective. I can't possibly please everyone in my line delivery. (especially someone who has gone through problems that I haven't faced) And the professor bit was clearly a joke. I love Sycamore and Kakui.

Thanks for taking my comment seriously. I think you missunderstood my point a bit: I actually do not think that "battling monsters" is something that males enjoy more than females. That is why I thought it was a silly comment. Maybe it's something cultural, because I am not American (or British for that matter) but where I come from, battling monsters is something that all kids enjoy. (See fo Sailor Moon for a more stereotypical girlish example or childrens books like Momo or Harry Potter, which appeal to both "genders"). I just think repeating those stereotypes (as you just did again) divides people unnecessarily, and can actually discourage girls (and also boys) from playing and doing what they like. The reason why I wrote this, was because I think we often don't think about the heuristics we use and this can be harmful to some people. There is a difference between saying that men are bigger than women (which is statistically on average true) and saying that man enjoy something more than women without any reason. If there is some ground on which you base your assumption that Battling monsters is something that males like better than females I would actually agree with your statements, even though I still think they are counterproductive. Maybe I got a bit too annoyed with the professors joke. It was just a joke after all. :) If you do not care about those issues, just ignore this whole comment. I don't mean this a a critique, more as a help to be more inclusive. Thanks for reading this and thanks for all your great Pokemon videos.
