Star Tropics…. I got a hilarious story for you. The KZbinr that got me on the platform is ProJared. A while ago he played through Star Tropics, and it was one of the most irritating times (for him) ever. He couldn’t figure out where to go! Which gave me an idea. See I’ve sent Jared a bunch of stuff over the years. I got with his then editor Vlad and hatched a plan. I secretly went on eBay and bought a bunch of Nintendo Powers that had the Star Tropics walkthrough in it and had them shipped directly to him. In a mail opening he got I think 5 Star Tropics Nintendo Powers from what appeared to be 5 different people. He got progressively more annoyed pulling magazine after magazine out. But it gets better. Over the next month several of his other fans joined in and sent him even more copies! For months whenever he did his mail opening he’d say something to the effect of “No more Nintendo Powers!”

@Fortefyre yes they play very similar. The first one has more puzzle elements which were super fun and interesting. It also has a control system that can feel cumbersome at times but once you get used to it, it's great and the game and puzzles are designed around it very well. Zodas changes this control style up, so going from the first game immediately to the second isn't recommended because you will die by falling into pits more often due to the change. Zodas suffers from top down/isometric view platforming which just doesn't work great a lot of the time. It's just awkward at times. Again still great but not as good.

Oooh, that's a great idea! And no, you aren't a failure, you've decided to play games at your own speed, using your own time, that's never a bad thing!

Nothing popular about Double Dragon 3, except the popular opinion that it is the least popular game of the Double Dragon franchise.

@@Fortefyre I had Deja Vu on my Amiga way back then. I didn't even know it was a Mac game. I didn't have the others on Amiga though. I like Univited quite a bit. As a kid I don't think I ever finished Deja Vu but thought it was amazing that you could hit yourself, shoot yourself, eat a lot of inventory items... I played that one with my dad. I don't remember if we had the original or not. He would go to software parties, which meant everyone pirated all their games and programs and shared. You had to go to a special Amiga shop for legit games, and there was a salesman that would stand there and pitch them to you and load them up on a machine to let you play them.

I remember trying to play Journey to Sillius with my ex girlfriend and she would make fun of the main character looking like a little kid. It does look bad I guess. So I play Raf World instead.

Well, she isn't wrong. Raf World is one I would want to check out as well, just to see those subtle differences.
