The 10lb’er is fantastic. Love how well “seated” it is after a few cuts. It’s the kind you can enjoy as is, or someday take another slab off of to see if that amethyst pocket opens up. Nice! Definitely NOT a waste of time because it wasn’t a waste of my time (and others) watching this vid! Thank you!

Hear me out. it wasn't a waste of time. It may not have been a successful hunt overall, but it absolutely was a successful scouting run. you checked off several areas that you know are not worth coming back to when you next have time, and found one promising area that has some cool oddball finds. filling in the rockhoundjng map is absolutely a good use of your time and efforts.

That is a really nice amethyst pocket. Of the thousands of Lake Superior agates I've found only 2 have amethyst.

Man! Sometimes it feels like we can do nothing right! I've had that kind of day myself so far! But ultimately, it all worked out well for you! Your finds were pretty spectacular. That big milk agate that is hiding an amethyst druzy pocket, is really so, so, so pretty! As we're all your finds that day! I've been trying to eat breakfast and feed my cat since 11 and it now 3! My cat , after all that, decided that she didn't want tuna this morning so I said she could either eat it, or not, and so she decided to eat my waffles instead! My day has not been as successful as yours! 😂 I'm sorry it was so aggravating but you can't say it wasn't a complete success! That is the prettiest milk agate I've ever seen! Even without the amethyst pocket, it's pretty and cabs of that rock will be beautiful too! And I even got a giggle about your day, as mine was like that too! So thanks Theo,for the laughs at yours and my expense, and your pain. And how you managed to turn that day around! Thanks!

I found my first amethyst in Lake Superior this summer. I was as Giddy as a school girl! But I knew it right away... you had to wait until you cut that rock open to find out... that will turn any frown upside down!

Wow I love that big one with the amethyst. That is beautiful. I wish I could find places like that here in Oregon, where I could find things. I mean, we have some pretty rocks here. I sent you an email with a picture of a rock that I inherited that everybody has different ideas of what it is so I was hoping maybe you could figure it out, but I haven't heard from you anyway. What I'm wondering is, where do you sell your cabs? Because I've looked for you on Etsy, and it's just still showing that your store is closed. So let me know where I can buy some stuff.
