I just have a tip - in addtion to what you shared. I keep everything as a to-do list on desk calender, reason because people should minimize the use of technology given that it actually consumes lot of energy (not electricity, but your brain, your eyes, your ears, everything) plus you get distracted easily. Putting things on desk/wall calender is an old way which our parents used to do and I think it is still the best way to stay organized.

The best thing that has worked for me in terms of productivity is to use an inbuilt android feature called as "Digital Well-being". It allows you to set timers on apps like social media, entertainment apps, etc and locks them till 12 am at night once you're out of time. It makes you ration your time on those apps as it's limited and it will otherwise get exhausted. It creates new reduced usage patterns for non-productive entertainment.

Love ur content to the extent that my wife is jealous that u take away her time. He he he... Another good line I know about writing down which u can use in subsequent videos and talks. "Shortest pencil is longer than longest memory " "Anything which is written lasts longer than the longest memory " Makes up for most of what u said I believe.

Except for one thing which is important, I loved everything, when you said you need to even plan a time for kids - that's what hit me. Being so productive that even parents have to make time for their kids. It is kind of sad. After all, being so productive that you miss being a dad or miss life overall isn't okay all of the time. People sometimes you just need to take breaks and live life may be. I have been watching all your videos you know for quite a long time now. But, that kid part man. Just heartbreaking. 💔

Another thing that has worked for me and most people I know is the effect physical exercise has on boosting your productivity. Say you're just sitting in front of a screen all day, be it online class, work meetings, or just constantly sitting in your chair for extended periods of time, your back and shoulders are under stress. What you can do is some basic stretches for your back and shoulders (my university actually sent us videos for this by mail). Also, when you're feeling slumped in the afternoon or evening and you still have lots of stuff to get done, just 5-10 mins of walking helps clear the mental fog and you can get a fresh start to the task at hand.

Getting to work has been a challenge to me as a freelancer. I can often tend to procrastinate and not get work done. At that time, I use the pomodoro technique to get started and build the flow. It goes like this: Schedule a 20 minutes timer and push yourself to work for that timeframe. Initially, the inertia would be strong and you'll feel distracted but eventually, you'll get into the flow of work. Many times, I've worked for longer than 20 minutes too. For this situation, it works every time!
@Mj_26584 Жыл бұрын
I try to follow a few hacks as well. 1. Setting up a timer while studying. 2. Asking my friends to push me so that I study 3. Redecorate my room every now and then because this helps me feel organized and not monotonous. 4. Morning Prayer. Morning prayer helps a lot! Communicating with the Al Mighty at the beginning of the day automatically makes you feel happy and active. 5. Sticky notes! Write down some taunts when you are wasting your time and you won't believe how effective that is.

I used to look at my phone quite frequently to look at Social Media apps which reduced my productivity. I will suggest few things which helped me: - Uninstall Apps (not deactivate account) which are not used frequently but their notifications gets your attention. You can always open your laptop and check the notifications when you have time. - Turn off the notifications of the apps if possible. - (Might not work for everyone) Remove the app from the home screen, it should be in the app drawer. Also, try to change the location from the drawer frequently as our hands will get used to the location they are currently on. I think Social Media are now an important part of life but we should be looking at them only when we want to socialize. The goal is that we should be looking at apps when we want, not when they ask us to. For urgency, people will Call, SMS or WhatsApp. We don't need to get notified of other things.

Hello, Sir. Thank you so much for the hacks. I do practise some of them already. I'd like to add something to point no. 10 as discussed by you. I am a teacher and after taking too many classes in a row, I do get tired. I start feeling sleepy after lunch but, since taking a nap is NOT an option, I brush my teeth. That's right, I carry an extra toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste in my bag. This works for me in making me better focussed and rejuvenated. If I'm at home and have quite a few tasks at hand AND I am tired, I take a bath, brush my teeth and apply perfume. It is not only refreshing but also effective in making the brain more alert and myself motivated to work.

Hey Ankur, I can very well resonate with these hacks. I remember my college & school days of taking running notes, drawing/scribbling (never knew which would be called mindmaps of new age :-D) something on my notebook while teachers/professors were teaching. Some of them wouldn't like us writing anything on paper but to listen to their lectures but I wasn't of that kind. That habit is still continuing but with restrictions because of my movement disorder (Neurological Condition). Still I could figure out the android's speech to text feature coupled with Google Notes, very handy. Moreover the self mailing hack for getting reminders, backing up things, managing limited free drive space by google all this came naturally as they say "need is the mother of all the innovations". I thing just because of parents embibing discipline right from the childhood is so significant in India. Nice to know that I am on the write track. I shall soon share my own productivity hacks evolved out of survival instinct & compulsion of leading life with dignity :-)

I have a self mode, where I give access to apps that will help me to learn something or just focus on my well being(messaging apps excluded). 2. Also I have created an extra Instagram account where I only follow accounts that help me with quotes, positive content and accounts related to my domain of work, so thereby I use Instagram just for personal and professional wellbeing. 3. When I used to stay with my mum, she used to play songs every morning just to wake me up and at that time I always used to wonder why my mum does this, how it instantly wakes me up and the important part was that I woke up happy. Now, I know why was this happening. My mum is such a genius, she knows how to make me do anything and She'll do in such a way that I'll be happy doing that stuff.

I seriously liked many of your hacks. Beautifully explained sir. I instantly applied WhatsApp self group idea.(We can find it very easily scrolling at the bottom of WA. There were few groups where I was the only one left. So, now I used it for myself.) Even I had one idea which I didn't tell anyone. So I wrote it down on a diary and posted it in my personal WhatsApp repo. 😉 One thing I am already working on is.. the last hack you said.. Make home environment like Workplace. I already did it from last 1.6 years. And it helped me growing in my professional journey. It works for sure. Thank you Ankur 😇

One productivity hack I follow is to never be in rush. Do everything without putting a constant pressure on myself that oh my god I have so much to do, I have very little time left etc. Which makes my brain to focus properly and improves my productivity.

1. Do not try to remember anything, document everything. 2. I document everything, ideas, to-do list, taking notes(meetings. 3. Put everything on the calendar. I use the calendar to - block my time 4. I schedule emails to myself and receive them in the future. 5. I use technology for everything I can. X.ai(calendar scheduling tool), boomerang(for Gmail). 6. Share your calendar with people close to you. 7. Making Whatsapp self-group. One for images and videos, the other for ideas and thoughts. 8. Afternoon nap. 9. Setting the right environment. 10. Doing things that activate your senses.

Great Share, "Everyone has same amount of Time as you Have" "It is not the number of Hours you Put in, But what you put in these Hours" Apart from TO DO List, I have "NOT TO DO" List. Distraction is the greatest destroyer of Productivity as hence NOT TO DO List Great Coincidence -I am already using email to self and Self WhatsApp Group ( My personal numbers) Accountability Partner who is on a similar journey to push you/pull you to keep you Productive Dress up is "Bulb On" for me Cheers for sharing the Tips. 1. Go for a walk..put some target on health apps..it somehow motivates and makes us happy after completing the target plus it adds value to health 2. Follow your passion it can be reading light book for 10 min..listening music..dancing...I do play guitar for that matter 3. Drink water..it may sound easy and not helpful...but it is.! It stimulates the tissues🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Actually its not only drinking water but drinking any hot liquid. Think of it cold makes us lazy so heat will make you energetic. Water is very good as it is hydrating. 70% of our body is made up of water and all the cellular processes happens with in aqueous environment. But I drink 4 -5 mugs of herbal tea (kehwa) everyday, which also adds in great antioxidants, antiinflammatory, immune boosting natural chemicals.

hello! I'm here after reading your two books 'Do epic shit' and 'Get epic shit done' and to be very honest they were the easiest read. the way you explain all the little aspects of life is exciting. I also love the creative visualisation and the little doodles in the book for making us understand better. this was my first book on aspects of life like time management, relationship with parents, finding the right career and much more. I'm just 16 and there's a lot to learn... but credit to these books and the author that helped me to put my step in the right way.
