If you walk up to a group of people who are talking and they turn their feet towards you, that means they are welcoming you into the conversation. If they keep their body rigid and without turning their feet, they prefer you out of the conversation. If a girl is messing with her ear/hair and her wrist is exposed that means she likes you. If she messes with her ear/hair and her wrist is turned away, she doesn't like you. When meeting someone, say their name multiple times. It makes them like you more as a better first impression. That and lots of eye contact. When shaking hands, people often find that warm hands are more attractive than cold. I'm not sure if any of these are proven by scientific reason, but I find them interesting.

Marijke Cuffe That's why it's just so much easier to tell someone they're beautiful over the internet than in person. I bet you if he saw you in person, he wouldn't tell you your beautiful. Heck, he probably wouldn't even talk or look at you. He would be afraid you'll see him like some kind of a creep and he wouldn't want to be embarrassed by that. But many people have become that way because of much it has socially changed. Strangers have lost trust in one another so meeting someone, especially if they're beautiful, is very difficult now.
@Black.Spades7 жыл бұрын
Black Shark I understand why people are afraid they would be perceived as creeps. Then again, usually (sincere and friendly) compliments are warmly received. But unfortunately it's mostly the creeps that try to "compliment", but actually hit on someone in public, which makes giving compliments to strangers seem creepy. Which in turn holds back nice people from complimenting, etc. Some kind of vicious circle.

Highly intelligent people look for patterns even when there's none present. They do this with everything. So when there is one they're quick to see it. And sometimes they can make an educated guess as to how certain events will turn out even if they are random.

I think rule 1 depends on a persons self confidence. If you're insecure you won't feel confident enough to sit by someone you see as attractive, but if you're secure in yourself you will. But I do agree with it. If you view yourself as less then you won't want to approach or even think of being near the person but if you see yourself as equal or at least better than, then you will.

There is also body dysmorphic syndrome. This creates a situation where the individual sees themselves as more flawed than they actually are. Often beautiful people are seen as more honest and people are more likely to agree with an individual they see as beautiful, rather than someone unattractive. There is a whole dichotomy that occurs. Interesting video! I enjoyed it.

someone who is negative about their body might not have a self-esteem problem. one psychiatrist tried to diagnose me with body dysmorphia but when medical issues forced me to have all my teeth removed. It was discovered that my face really is too big for my jaw. because of this I do not look the way I should. therefore when I feel like I'm looking at strangers face in the mirror it's completely no because my brain knows what my face should look like and it doesn't look that way. due to multiple medical conditions and being overweight. I'm thinking of starting a go fund me to have facial reconstruction surgery. thoughts?
@h.z68707 жыл бұрын
angel whispers noooo embrace how you naturally look, beauty is relative. Think of it like animals, each animal is beautiful in their own way. They're living majestic creatures. What most people consider attractive is a social construct. We are all beautiful and different. Don't let the world pressure you to change your face.

I have always had a hard time socializing. I learned that if I soften my eyes to an almost doe like quality (the look of compassion), slightly lift my eyebrows, & soften my smile & shoulders ever so slightly, people will talk to me. I can get a complete stranger to tell me the most personal information. I guess the key is to appear interested & gentle while also appearing confident, open, & happy. People really do want to socialize & share their thoughts & experiences but we frequently have a protective wall that pushes others back. That's my strategy to be a bit more social.

#4 is the essence of cosmetics and clothing industries. #1 occurs as a result of the contrast with what exists in close vicinity. About the survivor bias, it is often pointed out with the saying, 'History gets written by the victors (winners).' After all, the people who for example, win a war over a kingdom, will influence how the citizen's see their nationality and history.

In regards to the last question in this video, yes I do know a psychological trick that help in communication. When your nerves to look someone in the eyes just look at their nose or other near by focal body parts. People will not be able to tell.

When you've been told repeatedly you're attractive, but when people avoid you in public, it feeds into your negative body image.

I feel that when I sit next to a beautiful person. Every thing that I do, I think is weird and I can’t do things right!

Explain when you are the only person on a bus, and a random stranger just has to sit next to you instead of literally anywhere else?! (and you have to put your bag on the floor even though you put it on the seat as a shield so that you would be left in peace) Why is that? Same goes for some people at the parking lot.

About fact no 10: No store would do that since it's forbidden to claim that the price has been reduced. Well, at least it's the case in Germany.

Beautiful people are much more likely to be repulsed by the person sitting next to them as if they're a celebrity when really they're just too full of themselves.

I always notice when I go out, for example to the store, and am not dressed well - t-shirt and jeans and I feel sloppy, people are friendlier and total strangers talk to me more even ones that are dressed better than I am.
