Why would someone want to have intercaste marriages? In Indian context, marriage involves alliance between two families and this cannot happen with intercaste marriages. There are gonna be problems. Marry within the caste, within the religion.

You put things in a very good manner,but one point I want to add here is that before marriage all girls should spend some time with the boy's family in order to know each other and same logic applies for boys and both the parents for a healthy relationship. I agree to the fact that there would be differences between couples and families but there should be mutual respect between families & couple and instead of proving who is right or wrong,they should find what is wrong and solve them. :-)

Great 10 points, all the more important to think upon, discuss openly if it’s an arranged marriage. I would add discussion on religious beliefs; more so if it’s an inter religion marriage. The boy and the girl might not pay much attention to it. Believe me, quite a number of issues can surface around adapting to culture, food and practices. Also there need to be discussion on habits pointing to smoking, drinking etc. if it’s a love marriage they would certainly be aware to a great extent. On the other hand if it’s an arranged marriage, then it can be an unpleasant surprise to either the boy or the girl. Discussing around extra curricular activities would be appropriate too. After marriage, for example the boys parents may be against the girl giving public dance (Bharatnatyam, Khatak......) performances.

Prachi: I find your views on such topics to be balanced and mature. I know you must be aware but have some questions for you. I would appreciate if you can answer them (I mean your thoughts). The purpose is just for my own knowledge especially as you have balanced thoughts on such topics: 1. Your questions are for mature people who understand what the real meaning of marriage is (two mature like-minded individuals sharing their lives and achieving goals and facing challenges together). There are many people who get married because their parents want them to get married. They are not mature enough to know why people get married. They treat it as an item checked off their list (I am not talking about teenage brides or grooms here. I know close to 30 year olds who are clueless). How do we even educate such people on such issues? 2. In many arranged marriages it would be a taboo or a cardinal sin to ask about past relationships. All hell breaks loose if the couple escalate this to their parents (which is a dumb thing to do) but people do it anyway. How do we even educate people that when you talk to a prospective bride/groom, even if you don't like what he/she says, it's between the two of you and don't make it a public issue. Also many parents are inquisitive and would like to know exactly what went on. Even in such cases we know what parents can react to and we can censor those aspects. How do we educate people on these aspects? 3. Kids and sex??? Forget it !! Sex is the biggest bad word in our country. Could you throw some light on how to approach this talk given many people are shy to even think about this topic (forget talking) 4. A lot of Indian men and women are brought up trained that even talking to someone of the opposite gender is a no no. We might think it is changing now but I see a vast majority still clueless about not knowing how to even have a conversation with someone of the opposite gender (relationship is till a long way to go). Infact any educational video from someone like you would go a long way. There are colleges in India where students are fined for interacting with someone of their opposite gender and the management takes pride in it (after all they are "saving Indian culture") and some parents feel kids are safe in that environment !!! Forget relationships, such people won't even know how to work with colleagues of the opposite gender at work!!! Would appreciate if you can make some videos related to these in whatever way you think is appropriate (if you feel these are worthwhile topics). Thank you for reading

Maybe Mamma's boy are not that good according to some but those daddy's princess are also very disappointing and frustrating. Most of them are irresponsible, careless, extremely demanding, dominating and most importantly they need pampering like all the time.
@SmileWithPrachi5 жыл бұрын
I agree, a lot of girls use the 'daddy's princess' card to proudly justify some very wrong behaviour. Guys should be wary of such girls too.

Husband (to wife) : How did the shopping go today? Did you get what you wanted? Wife : You know what happened. On my way to shopping my mum called. She said blah blah blah. Then my sister called. She said blah blah blah. Then I called my friend. We spoke about blah blah blah Husband: 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Wife: Why do you look so angry? Husband : I asked you a simple question. Did you buy what you wanted? Wife : If you don't have the patience to listen to everything I say, just don't ask me any questions...OK?😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Husband : I am going to make a KZbin video about 10 Questions every man should ask before getting married.

make sure you are happy in yourself before getting married and live a life of very low expectations. don't marry to search for happiness. low expectation doesn't mean you are lazy but you expect nothing to very little from other people including your partner. that way you are happy with pretty much anything positive no matter how small that comes your way. You just keep working on yourself. i found my personal happiness by reading the Upanishads. I needed to understand the meaning of life and being here because only then could all my activities in day to day life give me purpose and make me happy. IF i get married, the only thing that could upset it now is if i choose poorly, somebody who has not truly figured their state of mind out.

Thanks Prachi i also wanna work and don't like cooking on daily to daily basis .. i was worried .. but now i wanna marry as per my thinking i thought it was not possible ... But now i will marry according to my thinking synchronisation... It is really helpful.. i am 25 and unmarried and everyone is giving me advice that u will not a perfect partner until and unless u will compromise with ur thinking.. but now m feeling more confident

Fair enough. But do learn basic cooking as a life skill. It's essential, though of course you don't have to cook daily if you don't want :) do keep in mind that a little compromise always helps a relationship become stronger and happier. Don't have to change yourself for someone, but small compromises are healthy. Both men and women should be willing to compromise a bit sometimes. :)

Hello Prachi. Nice videos. I would like you to share your experience and learning on after marriage life so that youngsters as well as those struggling in their marriage can work it out on their own rather than seek divorce or interference from outsiders including parents (some times). Hope to hear from you. Thank you 😊

The family goals wala thing is important. But what if both the partners don't want but family is forcing, mostly because they think the couple needs to have kids before the woman ages. It's so annoying for the woman when the family puts so much of pressure.

Subhra Subhadarsini Family ke kuch reasons honge. health issue jyada aate hai age badhne ke sath. isliye force kar rahe honge. but woman ho to responsibility to woman ko hi leni hogi bache ko paida karne ki. ye to natural hai na isme kya problem hai kisi ko?
@SmileWithPrachi5 жыл бұрын
It's the woman's body - she has every right to decide if she wants to get pregnahr. and a very very personal choice. It's also a big decision for a couple. Nobody has the right to force them. Even parents. Put your foot down and say that the decision is final. ( If they do want to have children much later, talk to a doctor though to understand the possible pregnancy issues that may come up with age.)

This is the reason Why Arranged marriages are extremely tough to happen now a days...!!!! The Best Suggestion-: “Marry the person whom you love very simple”. Arranged marriages don’t really work, it is just like to adjust and the whole life goes into it.

You will have to put your foot down and tell your dad that its your life and you will take decisions accordingly and not the other way around... other wise dont call it a forced marriage if you can not fight for what you want in life. Its like you either are a boss of your own life or you let someone else decide your life. Remember you are the architect of your life
