Fee- hourly or flat fee. Billing increments: meaning if they talk to you for 5 min & they are billing 30 min. increments they will charge you for 30 minutes and your retainer will run out faster. Technology: how they utilize technology to streamline their processes. Automated systems. How many staff members are there? How many paralegals working on her cases. Honestly is the law on my side? What could be working against me vs to my benefit. How much time is spent on case strategy? Compatibility with the attorney. Availability: especially with emergency. What’s the process of making an appointment with them as the case progresses? Available via email? Available on weekends? Communication- are they explaining the law in a way that you can understand? After leaving the convo with your attorney do you feel that you have an understanding? How long will it take to resolve the case?
