Your pieces of advice are worthy Rebekka, tho could happen to contact you a family who show you how much they are pleasant, lovely and harmonious but in reality they're the opposite. Even if you choose the family who apparently seems to have the fair characteristics,you don't know them as personalities.. so it's a little a blind research. But anyway yours is an important advice to attempt. :)

I‘m going on an exchange year next summer and I‘m not going as an Au pair but as a student and I just the first email today of a women who would take me in and the location sounds amazing and she seems lovely but I just don‘t have a clue if I should (or even can) decline, and I‘m really scared of saying no because maybe I won‘t find a better family but I also don‘t want to say yes because maybe there is a family that would be better for me, and i actually wanted more of a big family (that was really important to me) and now I don‘t know what to do.
