22:59 "You, hero, are the soul of conflict." What if he's not talking to the player character, but the player directly? Maybe the Soul of Conflict is who we play as in every Elder Scrolls game. We, as the Soul of Conflict, posses and empower a person so they can do greater things than normal. And once we see there is no more capability for conflict in their life we leave them to go do other things. It's just a thought, but if anyone wants to take this further feel free to.

The accounts of Sea Giants combined with the story of Atmorans, being the ancestors of Nords, is interesting. Atmorans were said to be as large as the dumb Giants found in Skyrim today, except they showed typical human sentience. It could simply be possible that Sea Giants are another branch of Atmorans, just as Skyrim Giants are as well. Coming only during the coldest winters would also agree with this theory, since perhaps their skin is the colour of frostbite BECAUSE they're constantly frostbitten, but in a way that doesn't hurt them and actually makes their skin a shield of some sorts. Honestly this seems like a good headcanon for them.
@Herrtzi
@Herrtzi 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly my thoughts when it comes to their ancestry and relation to the Atmorans, but the idea of the freezing skin acting as some sort of armor seems really cool! Sarpas, the winged argonians that live in the deepest parts of Black Marsh, are my favorites. They're only ever vaguely mentioned as attackers that wielded destruction magic to free their fellow argonians from South Morrowind. Unfortunately they did kill a few members of Twin Lamp in their rage and so they are widely hated by even the anti-slaver dunmer. All argonians are reptiles and each of them are based on reptiles (except Paatrus which are frogs) of our own world; Saxheels are lizards, Archeins are crocodiles, Nagas are Snakes, and Sarpas are dragons. I think a Sarpa dragonborn (although not lore-friendly since Argonians don't worship the Gods) would have been a really cool idea. Plus we'd be able to fly without buckets.

Hot take: the abandoned tent by the Sea north of Dawnstar is not the result of the lovers drowning in a drunken stupor, but rather they were dragged away by a Gehenoth in their drunken sleep.

I’ve always assumed it was related to the one dungeon with the necrophilic necromancer? I believe one of his journals references laying flowers on beds in a tent near Dawnstar, or at least implies the tent was his?

Can I make a request for an Elder Scrolls Detective video? I was just replaying the intro to Skyrim for the first time in a few years and never noticed just how "friendemy" Rolof and Hadvar seemed to be with each other. The dialogs they share make it seem like they knew each other well at some point, so where did everything go so wrong? I'd be interested in a more in depth look at their backgrounds!

It always amazes me how you continue to did up info I've never heard about TES. That sessile crab sounds like a Souls boss.

I wanna see a new version of umbra'keth, I feel like it would be a nice fresh villain to fight and bethesda could literally just make it the reason for the war with the thalmor and the empire. I mean if this thing literally feeds off of conflict and can possibly manipulate events towards creating said conflict, we have a villain bigger than molag bal, alduin, Dagon, or even hermaes mora could ever be.

Regarding the Mock Turtle, wouldn’t it be possible that the scute found in ESO is just a shedding of the Mock turtle in battle spire? He’s pretty big so it wouldn’t be surprising if he lived a hella long time. But don’t get me wrong, the idea of multiple mock turtles is pretty cool

I was enjoyed how it Morrowing many creatures were quite unique: dreughs, netches, nix hounds - the whole new mystical unknown world. Ascended sleepers, Hrelvesuu and Hungers were scaring the sh* out of me when I was a kid. Like wtf they are?? Beautiful In Skyrim it's less original - dragons, animals.. boring. I would be happy, if next TES game to be more creative.

with the mock turtle Scute it is possible that it is the mock turtle you meet in the game as some species of turtles shed parts of their shells in growth, a scute is what they call the many fragments that make up the shell. so its not unlikely that the turtle made its way down there somehow and just grew too large to get out.

Could Umbra'Keth be something that feeds on conflict that has existed in Nirn for countless eons (maybe even since its inception) and was just mostly sleeping until that one conflict woke it up, or even just served as the straw that broke the camels back in helping it fully awaken or achieve full manifestation or something as it fed off of some psychic or other metaphysical energy from the conflict?

You forgot the rarest, Beardlings, they've been known to live in basements for up to 40 years, and to shriek at the mere mention of natural light, and primarily eat soup.
@AngryCanadianGoose95
@AngryCanadianGoose95 2 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, I've heard of this special breed of troll. They are fond of basements with a family living above, especially if there is a mother in the vicinity. There are many reasons why they choose to inhabit one basement for so long, the main reasons being their eyes have become too sensitive to natural light, and their skin burns easily in the sun. Also, "REEE-ing" for soup constantly at the family means the Beardling does not have to go out at night to forage. The only known way to get rid of them is to trick and lure them out of your dwelling with mini pizza pockets, and hope they find a female Beardling immediately.
