Was in Shenzhen a month ago for 5 days, crazy how I could hardly see any garbage, I mean none in a massive park, parking garage.....the the connivence , just OMG. feeling safe no matter where and what time of the day - that is freedom that the west does not understands ironically. I will be moving back 1.5 yr for good and can not wait.

The west doesn’t understand? Ohh fuck off. Most of the top 20 safest nations are European and rank safer than China. And 99% of US , UK ….are just as safe as China. They have hotspots which make stats look worse. Virtually no one in the west worries about safety. You guys are ridiculous. Full of exaggerations and fearmongering. Do you fear mass stabbings in China?

Totally get what you're saying! I love that feeling of safety and not having to worry about being harassed when I'm in Asia. In the West, especially in big cities like New York and London, so many people have a chip on their shoulder and are always out to "get someone" or just enjoy being jerks out in public.

Currently in the UK and I wish I could disagreed on some of your points but you’re spot on. In terms of healthcare in the UK, I completely refused to use NHS services for medical check for China cause the waiting period is way too long. So, I opted for Private healthcare. Maybe you failed to mentioned the vibe in the west is so toxic and hard to make genuine friendships plus it’s bloody expensive right now in the UK. I am so happy to finalise my move to Beijing later this month and your videos make me feel at ease.

Hello, I'm David. I lived in China for a long time and China is always my favorite country. My daughter is the District Manager of Sanming City in Fujian Provice. Because of a divorce from my Chinese wife I have lost my permanent residency, as per Chinese law. It's very sad not being able to live in China permantly. I am currently building a house with my fiancee in the Philippines and I will take my wife to China with me to see my family and friends. Australia is in a huge mess. High levels of crime and mental illnesses, societal degradation, and Australia has a massive housing crisis. I'm 55 and staying in an unsafe boarding house. Sometimes I wish Australia could be liberated on a humanitarian level, if you know what I mean. Hopefully I'll be out of here soon and back in Asia. I've often wondered if it's possible to get my permanent residency in China back, even though I'm no longer married to a Chinese nationalist. I really miss China and it is the best country in the world. Thank you for posting your videos.

Yes I see, and being married to a Chinese citizen doesn't give us the automatic right to be able to work or study in China. We need to stay in China for a long time on our or our spouses finances and then apply for a Chinese residency greencard. In the Philippines it's very different. Once we've married to a Filipina Citizen we can also work and study in the Philippines.

Those trees can be a godsend when the sun is scorching hot because of the shading they provide. I wouldn't say all shopping malls in the UK are falling apart, but places like Oxford Street just aren't what they used to be, traditional shops being replaced by tacky, overpriced 'American candy' stores and with rampant shoplifting, pickpocketing. Last I heard there was supposed to be a mass-scale shoplifting organized through social media - similar to what is happening in places like San Francisco.

I am a bit surprised to hear your comments on NHS as I might have a wrong impression that the UK healthcare system is good. 😅 Talking about the subway, I hope you also appreciate the efficient and affordable high-speed railway that make inter-city commuting and weekend travel very convenient. 😊

It is true that most parks in UK are peaceful, but there are much less activities in them for people to enjoy. Some city parks are also not safe to enter after dark because of gangs and drug addicts occupying them. The UK NHS system however is a total mess, the waiting time is extremely long, one has to wait for a few weeks to get to see a doctor even it is just a minor treatment. For people needing surgery, the average waiting time is 2 to 3 years which is why a lot of patients die before they get the surgery.

The Chinese economy may be in even worse shape than expected. Two out of every three people in China could be earning less than $300 per month. That’s the number accidentally revealed by a top Chinese economist. Li Xunlei is the vice Chairman of the China Chief Economist Forum. He mentioned in a recent article that over 960 million people in China earn a monthly income below $2000 RMB, or around US$300. The article was meant to discuss “insufficient demand” in consumption in China, but it sparked heated discussion online. It became the number one trending topic on Chinese social media Weibo before getting deleted. The article was published in Shanghai First Finance, a magazine owned by Shanghai’s city government, under the Chinese Communist Party. Mr. Li had been citing data from a survey conducted by Beijing Normal University, a top university in China. The revelation echoes a 2020 statement from former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. He said then about 600 million people earning a monthly income below $1,000 RMB, or US$150.

@@sams-lo6lc Beijing Normal University, if it exists, is not a top university in China, or it even may not exist. And in China, it's hard (if it's not impossilbe) to find out how much every person earns, because there is no accurate data could be collected (yeah, there is no government department chasing each individual in China like what IRS does in USA). @8:47, #11 : China’s police don’t shoot first, ask question later. There’s no gang of Rambo police in China. In fact many China police don’t even carry a gun as the Chinese society has little violent crime and personal gun ownership is illegal. Consequently. China’s police force is small relative to its population in contrast to the West where the community police is a big powerful paramilitary force armed by heavy machine guns, high power sniper rifles with night-scope, grenade launchers, C4, Kelvar, armor vehicles, and even a helicopter gunship. China’s police is viewed more as a public information resource , free concierge, or a crime deterrent.

The 10 reasons u cited is all because back in 1978 China’s paramount leader, Deng Xiao Ping visited Singapore to see for himself the miracle turn around / progress & prosperity by Singapore from nothing in 1965 when it gained independence to its rapid achievements in a short span of 13 yrs of nation building. He then sent delegates of officials to learn from Singapore government agencies / departments, bring their knowledge and adapt to suit China needs. He told his countrymen that if Sg can do that, China can do so to and better. Yes, with its huge population and pool of talented people, China had surpass SG 30 years after his visit just as predicted by Singapore’s founding PM Lee Kuan Yew when he met and hosted Deng in 1978. Come and visit Singapore and u can witness for yourself how safe, clean, and progressive we are and our unique culture.

Thank you for your portrait of China. Though a Chinaman, I have never been to China & have been brought up in the UK, public school, University & been a teacher & lecturer. I feel more English than than the ordinary natives who cannot speak pukka standard received English & I find that a pity. As for crime, I was pickpocketed walking down my lane to the local shops by a Middle-Eastern migrant, first time in 30 years! You are right about immigrants & migrants contributing to crime in the UK. We are too tolerant, the Chinese cease being nice & civil when confronted by crime!

China government controls the number of foreigners going into the country, it doesn't allow trouble makers, deportation is common for foreigners who made trouble there, even simple things like racist attitude towards Chinese people, disobey laws, involve with illegal activities, etc. There have been cases which death sentence was carried out on foreigners who had committed serious crimes such as drug trafficking and murder.

U can go to specific markets such as Borough or spitalfields market, Camden market (I live near Camden) but it costs an absolute fortune. they have to be on their salaries lol The Chinese economy may be in even worse shape than expected.

Something you haven't mentioned : It is hard to save money in China because you have so many reasons to spend your money in buying street food, little fancy things in street stalls, and etc. Second, Chinese is difficult to speak because there are so many dialects there. Do you find it very noisy at night as they close down so late at night? I don't know. I have no idea of how late they close their shops.
