I love the look of that generation of 600rr and 1000rr's, and the aesthetic of the undertail exhaust. Nice bike!

05 here. Chosen as first bike because it doesn't offer any rider aides, its raw and doesn't save you from your mistakes. If your inputs are garbage, the output will be garbage. Awesome video breakdown, i was writing as you were talking and we have a very similar outlook on the 05-06 model. I happen to love the center air intake from the 07+ design but wouldn't sell my 600rr just to have that design feature. My own chief complaints. Forks are sprung too soft for anyone over 150lbs. Fuel tank does not have quick disconnect fittings...they were added to the 07 and newer models. Combination kill switch and throttle housing...also the 1/4 turn throttle tube. Poor radiator cap location. Axial brake master cylinder up front. Seat...is very wide at the tank intersection. I am 6' and 165lbs but still find that area of the seat makes pressure points on the thighs. Personal likes. Very accessible timing marks on the cams and crank...ZX6R for comparison have cam timing marks which are hidden by the frame. I do yearly valve checks so this design feature is at the very top of my list. Center mounted exhaust...good for OCD and also weight distribution. Fuel gauge!

Great video mate. I just bought the 2013 cbr600rr Repsol edition with scorpion exhaust. Its done 23k but well maintained and condition is great. Its my first ever 'big' bike going from a Ninja125, exciting times ahead.. thanks again for the great vid. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

I just got an 06 600rr about 6 months ago and the more I ride it and own it the more I love it, I found that you stated the exact same reasons as I have for picking it over other bikes!

I have a 2005 CBR600RR with the original black and silver covers. It has a Two Brothers two-in-one slip-on exhaust and is a little beast. I bought it with 32,000 kilometers on it and used it for commuting to work, but it loves twisty roads as well. It now has over 80,000 kilometers and still starts right up. I've been diligent about oil changes and spark plug maintenance, and I think it could easily reach 150,000 kilometers enjoy the ride brother I also a Triumph Daytona 1995 900 that old girl is my touring pig but she's a heavy old pig but love the comfy seat on long tips cheers

I had a 2007 The main selling point for me is the under-tail exhaust. Just looks so clean.

i bought my (first bike ever) 05 CBR600rr last year, taught myself to ride it and i fkn love it. it was on FB Marketplace for a few weeks and something about it i just couldn't take my eyes off it. all white with the frame and swingarm powder coated black, plus my buddy has the same bike, all blacked out and i just fell in love with it. bought the bike for $4000 (CAD) and did the fork seals, 2 brand new Michelin 2ct's , oil change, e.t.c... just love it lol. still fkng snowing here in Canada but I'm telling ya i can't wait to get back on it this season!

Beauty! I have the 06 as well and I absolutely love it. I've only had it about 2 months but I adore it. Your red is a bit different then mine though, more of a candy red whereas I have the flat Honda red. Great video!

The way people try to sell not having features as a feature is kinda ridiculous, and so is $12K for a bike with no ABS.

How do you compare it to zx6r?
@forgonation59847 ай бұрын
zx6r generally has a more aggressive seating stance and more low, mid range torque also. Damn nice bikes:)

Hey @Mototure, Can you help a brother out? I've settle on a 600 as first bike and I found a local listing for an 07 Honda cbr 600rr trackbike w/ 9K miles for $5K, and an 04 CBR600F4I with 10K miles for $5K, Which one do you think I should go with? Do you think the price is too High or Reasonably ? If I want a CBR600RR what year do you think I should aim for?

Sorry for the late reply but 2007 cbr is worth that money if it's in great shape and the one that I would recommend in this scenario:)
