I stayed once in the downtown core which is cool and quaint . Then I stayed in an area outside the area which seem to have a few addicted people and was more commercial . There are some great businesses in Saskatoon .

Saskatoon in no way resembles 'Paris'. I've never understood where the Hip got that from. They must have been on mushrooms. Saskatoon is very much like any other prairie city. Surrounded by flat, featureless, chemical-sprayed farmland, with one main area of town that is nice. In this case, it's the river valley. Idylwyld and Circle drive are an abomination of poor planning that makes driving through a frustrating chore. In Regina, it's Wascana Centre, the downtown, and the football stadium. In Winnipeg, Assiniboine Park. The difference I have found is that Saskatoon people seem to believe they live in Vienna, or Vancouver. That's hilarious. Saskatoon is in no way Vancouver or Vienna, or even Calgary. More like a bigger version of Prince Albert. It's like an underlying self-esteem problem where they really, really want to be a big city, but know they'll never get there. I think the people of Saskatoon love the people of Saskatoon because they love the people of Saskatoon...

Paris doesn't smell that bad. You won't feel such terrible smells in Paris (diesel, canabis). Sewage is not an issue in Paris as well. Whereas in Saskatoon sewage smell is very often present. Halk Hogan resembles Eddie Murphy more than saskatoon resembles paris.
