10 years of war. Unique footage from hromadske

hromadske documented how the first Russian soldiers and machinery entered Crimea. We filmed the last days in still unoccupied Donetsk and Luhansk. They saw how Sloviansk was captured and liberated. From the first days of the proclamation of ATO, there were hotspots along the entire front line. We filmed our military leaving Debaltseve. How prisoners were exchanged in the already occupied Donetsk. How Mariupol was prevented from being captured in 2014, and how the Russians captured the city in 2022.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we reported from the newly liberated Irpin, visited the besieged Bakhmut, filmed cemeteries of civilians killed by the Russians in the newly liberated Izyum. Our group was one of the first to get to Kherson after the Russians fled the city.
We continue to film military personnel in Chasovy Yar and near Kupyansk. We document the destruction of entire villages and towns by the Russians. We film the evacuation of civilians from places where the Russians drop guided aerial bombs.
We collected this film from our many hours of ten-year archives, unique footage shot by hromadske journalists and videographers to show how the war started, how it lasted, what happened in Donbas until 2022, where the front line was, and how everything happened after February 24, 2022.
All these shots are to remember: the Russian-Ukrainian war did not start on February 24, 2022.
It started in 2014. From the shootings on the Maidan and from the seizure of Crimea and part of Donbas.
