It’s very popular in Syria mostly in the west side, influenced by the early Syrian immigrants to South America in the 1800s and early 1900s

@leandrodavidgarcia5711Ай бұрын
More or less. The most concerned began to use each one their own mate, yes. But mate is not just a drink, it is a shared social experience, it is a moment of encounter. So that each one uses his own mate ruins the idea of sharing a mate together, so many of us simply continue sharing the same mate.

Yum yum! Coffee vs mate explains a lot about the differences in culture. Here in the States aka Yanquilandia we drink coffee and mostly on the go. Mate is a process and it takes time. It is a social thing. We should all slow down sometimes and make time for a mate with friends.

I imagine you've already tried it. But if you haven't yet, try it carefully, because it causes diarrhea in people who are not used to drinking it. It doesn't cause diarrhea in us because our body is used to it, but you go slowly.

Don't forget Paraguay, I was introduced to Mate by a Paraguayan friend. Nationaly differs but everyone says "it's ours" like the pisco, elfajores, empanadas... debate, though fernet *con coke* is clearly Argentine xD Thankfully I didn't know about the rules but I remember not doing any of the mistakes you cited 🤗 but not sure about completing the drink before passing it! 🤔 It doesn't hold much water anyway! Is drinking off a wooden Mate ok? Not worse than plastic Mate!!?

If you want to use up a common cup of tea. But it's better to have some wood or bamboo cane that gives you another taste if you don't get the real "porongo". A hug from Argentina!

🤣🤣🤣 ¿Qué loco no? 😜 Uno de los significados en Google de Cebar: Dar cebo a los animales, para alimentarlos o atraerlos. Ajajjaja

God i can live without food and cannot live without mate it’s my favourite drink. In Syrian back in the days we are too selfish and addicted, to share cups , everyone get his own cub and most of the people put tons of sugar. Different cities has different habits like in my city we soak the mate in the cup with a cold water for few minutes then some people throw the cold water some just add hot water . Other cities will pass cups other cities will drink it with really really hot boiled water and you can actually burn your tongue this way if you don’t have experience with it . I really agree with the sounds that you made with a straw it’s rude as eating with a mouse open hahahhaaha

You probably didn't drink a mate of your choice. You have to choose between the type of yerba mate, milk or not, sugar or without, with or without herbs. There is a lot of things to think about. I know how to preper and drink my perfect mate. If you are interest on drink mate you just need to experiment a little bit. 😁
