Hola! Let me tell you I am so happy that I found you! I love the way you teach! I am married to a Puerto Rican for 34 years I am Italian. We don't live in a Spanish neighborhood anymore so there isn't much going on with the speaking speaking of it years, I used to tell my husband talk to me in Spanish so I can learn, and he used to reply back to me. Oh, you know what you know it I don't have to teach you to me that was just an avoidance. He didn't wanna teach me or he just wasn't interested in front of me. He would always act like he don't wanna talk Spanish we're in America talk English. The only time I ever hear him speak Spanish is when he talks to his mother and she lives in a different state so we hardly see her and now we have two kids 13 and 15 and I think it's important for them to know the language and my son is feeling Spanish in school! what I like about the way you teach is like you said in school they teach you all the grammar. And I would always say when we are born no one sits down with a piece of paper and teaches us the grammar of our language no matter what language it is, or tells us to fill in the blanks with the endings er , ar, etc.. you get what I'm saying. I would always say when we're born people just speak to us and they show us what they're talking about and that's how we learn and why can I never get a teacher like this? Well I finally found you! I am so excited and you are so thorough and you explain things so nicely. I will be following you and telling everyone I know who wants to speak to follow you also and I am going to be learning Spanish with my kids right by my side you are going to be our teacher. I just hope I can learn. oh, and just to let you know the only Spanish that I do know because I did grow up in the Spanish-speaking neighborhood is from my brother-in-law because whenever my mother-in-law would speak, I would ask him what is this word mean and what does that word mean? I know a lot of words, I even know how to spell them and write them out, when I read, I can pick up a bit of what the story means because I know words. My problem is always been like putting the sentences together and actually speaking hoping that it's not too late for me. I'm 56 years old! Lately my mind hasn't been able to retain anything let alone another language. I am just praying.🙏🏽 that learning from you, I can finally after all these years start speaking. Thank you for all you teach us.

Your right about the Spain Spanish , I’m Chicano and My Spanish is hood we don’t speak proper Spanish to begin with. We speak Castillion Spanish and that’s already slang . So my Spanish is slang slang. So I can’t really communicate with Spanish from Mexicans or someone that isn’t Chicano for example I might say for work I won’t say trabajo I’ll say hale and anyone that dsnt speak hood Spanish they’ll look at me and say que or como .. another example is for car you would say carro I would say carrucha or another phrase just like Mexicans can use a diff meaning for car. I need and want to learn how to be on that level when speaking to someone either something about work or just shooting the shit.. I seen a video you posted on selenas video and that’s 100% truth bout Americans and Mexicans when speaking the language..

My mother is half Venezuelan ... but speaks no spanish ... so I learned for years and have got way better taking it seriously and come a long way in the last month alone . With the help of blogs , like yourself, books and speaking on Hello Talk with natives . But the native who lives in The UK (I’m British btw) he is from Peru, so I’m issued to Peruvian Spanish... to me it’s quite clear and it’s what I’m used to. But! He has to work a lot and says to also speak to other spanish speakers ... WELL! Today I’ve been speaking to an Argentinian guy🤦🏾‍♀️ Dios Mio! The accent is very hard to understand , words skipped , slurred , just MUY difficile! Pero! He sent me a about a 30 second voice note (and in it he says I probably won’t understand becoz he speak fast like this to his native people ) well! I replied and he was gobsmacked ! And so was I!!! HOW DID I UNDERSTAND ???? But anyway I just prefer Peruvian dialect and Venezuelan ... becoz he used vosotros and nosotros ... I told him sorry I don’t use that verbiage in my dialect ... lol! And he says DALE... and I say VALE!!! It’s good to hear the different accents and dialects... but il still to my way!

The game time tip is exactly what you should do if you don’t want to speak a language, and the reason it’s hard for you to comprehend is because you haven’t learned the grammar and pronunciation and vocabulary that’s necessary to speak a language because of your game time tip. I have noticed this as well with the pronunciation. For me, and you may disagree because I am not a native speaker, if you say the letter D like the "TH" sound in English, you come off sounding more native-like, For example, Yo soy de (pronounced) [they] Colombia. Do you concur? OR No pasa nada [nah thuh]. ¿Qué opinas?

Hola Señora Ramirez! I would agree with you. That's because the TH sound is very similar to the Spanish D sound. The tongue touches the teeth in almost the same spot.

Te cuesta pronunciar la R de manera correcta. Pronouncing the R is perhaps one of the most difficult things to learn. Si practicas de manera frecuente aprenderas español más fácil, suerte :-)
