Seems you never watched a Sar Trek episode featuring the borg. Not even in a single episode the intruders were instantly attacked. The Borg ignore intruders until they become a thread to the Borg.

Imagine a Borg cube coming across a space hulk. Also who else thinks The Event Horizon passed into the warp. Since it didn't have a Gellar Field it was easy pickings for demons and demonic machine spirits.

Mass Effect: The Reapers : The Reapers return from Dark Space every 50,000 Earth Years to harvest intelligent species that have achieved the milestone of creating artificial/ synthetic intelligence. Each individual Reaper vessel is created using the liquefied population of a entire intelligent species - this forms a unique gestalt mind within the Reaper and forms it's core personality. The author here did not do them any justice in this video. These things are Eldritch Abominations running on straight Nightmare Fuel.

Yes. The novel "Death Troopers" finds a derelict Star Destroyer filled with a not quite alive crew. A failed experiment left abandoned. Fun book. Han and Chewie make appearances.
