As a child of marika, she might have been in contact with the other demigods. Torrent being the basis, melina gave torrent to us and torrent's master is speculated to be miquella, since ranni knows who torrents master is, that goes to show that perhaps melina and radahn might have interacted at some point. now this is all speculation, but i think melina herself has a split personality like marika and miquella, that being her and the gloam-eyed queen and melina is aware of this. (The lord of frenzied flame ending forced the gloam-eyed queen persona to finally take control, like what marika did to radagon and miquella to st. trina.) Now, if melina spoke with miquella and radahn before, then maybe radahn knows melina and her other self, and requested the godslayer GS weapon from melina in case miquella finally shows up and confronts him."

I’m willing to argue that Miquella pulled a Griffith and Radahn pulled a Guts for two reasons. 1) Miquella’s goal was originally just and based on compassion and kindness. The Outer Gods are responsible for toiling with everything they had loved in the Lands Between, every bit of suffering can be traced back to one of the many Outer Gods, and the only two people who have displayed a desire to sever that connection was Miquella and Radahn. Miquella admired Malenia who fought the rot she was afflicted with, but knew it would only delay the inevitable, it’s why he studies under Radagon and abandons the Erdtree to research Unalloyed Gold. Ultimately, his solution to sever the Lands Between from the Outer Gods was to become a god himself, and to do so had to abandon all that made him “human”, his kindness and love, his fears and doubts, even his flesh, Miquella separates himself from his once righteous goal through the darkest method possible. Forcing others to follow his ambition until they are no longer needed. Only then does he become an innocent monster. But he himself doesn’t want to do it, but knows it is necessary, as his other half, his original flesh, St. Trina, was aware that such an existence would be an eternal prison for Miquella, a fact she would know with certainty as his other half. 2) Radahn had also shared a love for the Lands Between and a desire to sever the connection between the Outer Gods that reigned over them. He did this by conquering the stars to prevent further influence and to protect his own family, the Carian royalty, from ever meeting their fate, which was dictated by the Dark Moon. But again, that too was an action that only delayed the inevitable, and could not ultimately solve the issue. Whether he agreed or rejected Miquella is only made clear by one simple fact, the aftermath of Aeonia. At the very least, it is when Malenia unleashed the Scarlet Rot does Radahn reject Miquella’s wish, despite either agreeing or rejecting the vow initially. This is shown by the sheer fact that Radahn resists succumbing to the Scarlet Rot. If he had completely agreed with Miquella’s plan he would’ve known he must die for his soul to traverse into the Realm of Shadows, and accepted the rot and died. But doing so would undo his conquest of the stars and allow his family to perish as their fate guided by the stars and the moon continue once more. Radahn did not want to save the world through Miquella’s method, nor did he want to be a puppet in his game of shared ideals. So he resists the Scarlet Rot and holds on to the stars even in his own insanity to prevent his death, and his soul from falling into the kind but inconsiderate Miquella’s hands. If even in his own insanity he wouldn’t harm or kill Leonard, in his sanity, he never would’ve agreed to betraying Jerren, Ohga, his loyal Redmanes, by letting Malenia harm Caelid if her only goal was him. The Scarlet Rot was Malenia’s last resort as she knew she couldn’t defeat and kill Radahn without it. But his fight with Malenia is proof that he rejected Miquella, and that Miquella would go through any means, even sacrificing his beloved sister whom he betrayed the Golden Order for, to get what he wants. Though their wish was the same, an age of compassion, someone who never betrayed their family, would ever serve someone who could so easily abandon them. Miquella’s compassion and love would be forced and false, a shadow of its original righteousness and nobility, which was long since abandoned with St. Trina. The Miquella Radahn might’ve followed, was not the Miquella who awaits him at the Divine Gateway.

@@KyngD469I just wanted to say that i feel amongst even other content creators, this hits closest to what i feel is “miquella” and his story. Theres been too many videos on the subject which seem to sidestep or forget Miquellas legitimate kindnesses, his ideals and work for others, and the very shedding of his flesh and the effect we know this had, particularly with the severing of St. Trina (aka Videos that claim Miquella was this horrific black and white manipulative evil or “insane”). In some ways Miquellas story is tragic,he truly did have noble aims and goals - and yes, he did some very despicable things to get there, but had he not shed his flesh and the essence of what made him “kindly” including but not limited to St. Trina - he might actually have created something worth savinf and worth fighting alongside him for. His mistake was discarding who he was to become this god - a fact echoed by St. Trina, who even asks us to take pity and save miquella, to forgive him. Miquellas story is heart-breaking and i feel like to many view it as this “he was the true evil manipulative bad guy all along” which missed so many key dialogues along the way that say otherwise. Kindly Miquella... I see you've thrown away... Something you should not have. Under any circumstances. How will you salvation offer...to those who cannot be saved? When you could not even save your other self? Miquellas story is tragic, what he could have become and offered for the actual salvation he did desire had he made different choices .

Weirdly enough, while we see no living Albinaurics in the Haligtree, there are cocoons which are shaped JUST like the 1st Gen Albinaurics, like we find in the Village of the Albinaurics. So it seems that any who make it onto the Haligtree die and the cocoons are how their “souls” are transferred to the Haligtree similar to Erdtree Burial. I do find it strange that there aren’t any second generation Albinaurics there though, perhaps they all end up getting lost and going to Mohg’s portal? Or maybe the Misbegotten were hostile towards them… Who knows

29:30 so I decided to do a run just like this, get grabbed by radahn and got miquellested just to try out if theres an alternate ending. Sadly there is not, ive gotten my heart stolen, ive speed ran through the base game and i see no summoning sign of miquella inside the erdtree, only the option to touch fractured marika and mend the elden ring. I should also point out that when i got miquellested miquella said "lord of the old order, let us go together" so i believe when youre fighting radahn you are in fact the elden lord. It takes place after you mended the elden ring.

If we draw parallels to Miquella being Griffith (too many similarities) and Radahn being Guts (since he is THE chad of the universe and has all qualities of Guts i.e. being extremely strong while being extremely kind), it is safe to assume that Radahn must have made the promise long ago in their childhood as perhaps a part of a child's play. The problem was Radahn grew up whereas Miquealla did not, just like Griffith and Guts. Radahn chose to follow his own path while Miquella held on to the childish promises made in a much different time long ago. And just like Griffith, Miquella's mind goes completely cuckoo when Radahn or Guts says No.

I believe the reason that Miquella chose Radhan was, that Radhan learned gravity magic to continue ridding his horse. In a young child's mind, which Miquella seems to display, that would have be seen as an act of kindness in a world so cruel and unforgiving. Therefore he saw Radhan as fitting to be his Lord Consort. I know, it's quite a simplified reason. But seeing it from a young child minded perspective, it makes good sense. It's could be in Miquella's eyes: "Everyone is fighting and doing cruel things for self gain. But big brother Radhan learned gravity magic to aid his horse, yet he did not have to. He must be a good and kind man"

I like the twist on miquella’s antagonistic ways, while his intentions are pure he is still naive and not aware of the full extent of consequences of his actions. By abandoning his “love”, aka St. Trina, those who followed him begin to question his motives and even one spirit can be found that asks how they expect to be saved by someone who couldn’t save his other half. He also has a lot of empathy, perhaps too much, and takes it upon himself to carry the burdens of his family’s past and their afflictions and that’s why he does what he does

At 11:30, it is not implied to be a product of Malenia’s bloom, but rather one of the sisters of Milicent. From 23:00 onwards, this is too much of a conjecture regarding Radahn’s intention. If anything, the more probable conclusion is that Radahn was corrupted by his Great Rune after the Shattering. This is actually stated in game prologue. Malenia then went to him to remind him of the vow. Remember, Fromsoft games are notoriously ambiguous, enough to pave the way for various interpretations. Anyone remembers Velka back in Dark Souls days?

I believe Miquella’s Age of Compassion is all about stagnation. He wants to embrace the world and compel people to love him and live in peace, in exchange for their free will. Even his choice of Radahn over Malenia, his loyal blade, as his consort is about stagnation. After all, we are talking about a backstory written by George R. R. Martin, so if Miquella had chosen Malenia as his consort, at some point they could have had more demigods together, and they could have threatened Miquella’s position as a god in the same way Miquella is threatening Marika’s Golden Order.

Sadly. That stuff is probably cut content. St. Trina has a 4th line in game with no triggers, and The knight before Trina the pestulance knight is called gloameyedknight in game files. Meaning somewhere along development things changed.

Marika sacrificed melina her firstborn who she had with the seduced male counterpart of the GEQ then consulted formless mother to assist in ascension and it required a literal Mountain of blood and Marikas lineage was cursed as a result with aspects of the formless mother (the crucible). The greater wills original mistake. Miquellas deal is he sacrificed his very flesh and power itself which would’ve had him acend but he would’ve been a puppet god just as radahn was his puppet consort. He would’ve had none of his will left intact which st Trina knows. This is the fate of emperyans who ascend they sacrifice the most important thing to them. Marika her children and miquella his love and eternal innocence even his flesh which has the innate abilities of blood and the formless mother. I believe the GEQ must’ve done something similar (if she indeed ascended).

I’m pretty sure that Miquella didn’t bring back Godwyn for one very important reason, his soul is completely obliterated. The night of black knives explicitly states that Ranni used the curse mark of death to rid herself of her body at the same time Godwyn was killed, using his soul and her body as a complete sacrifice. Furthermore, whatever Miquella planned to do at Castle Sol for Godwyn failed, this inevitably led to Miquella not being able to use Godwyn’s Soul in Mohg’s body, as he was unable to restore it or even give him a true death.

I would also like to comment on Mohg. Personally, I don’t think he is without blame. I think Mohg is charmed *after* he takes the cocoon from the Haligtree. His character motivations all align with him wanting to start his own Dynasty based around the Formless Mother and his blood of which he’s been shunned his whole life for. More specifically, I think he shouldn’t be apologized to because he is still a terrible person, his realm is bloody and festering, like the sewers he grew up in (see the swarm of flies incantation), and the culture he cultivates of his Pureblood Knights and Bloody fingers is that of the hunting and mutilation of others seemingly only to please the Formless mother entity. A bad person got taken advantage of by another bad person, after he tried and failed to use what he thought was Miquella for his own means, is all I really think happened.

I never understood the Godwyn eclipse theory, because the eclipse is specifically said to be tied to the mausoleum knights and the soulless Demigods that rest within them and the idea that Miquella wanted to resurrect Godwyn is outright disproven in the base game because the golden epitaph description basically states how Miquella in fact mourned Godwyn and wanted him to die peacefully and not be in the state we see him in, so I always thought that theory made no sense.

Personally, I always thought Miquella was trying to use the Eclipse to achieve Godwyn's "true" death and not as a tool of resurrection. Although, seeing as Malenia failed to fully kill Radahn, the eclipse is moot anyways as it won't happen with Radahn holding the stars(and what I can assume also the Moon) at bay.

When BanditGames was talking about how miquella was in the cocoon is because its just his hand, and the reason behind this is because when he appears during the second phase of Radahns boss fight sorta hugs him he has four arms but one is missing and that he left behind the missing arm to let the tarnished that has followed Miquella (also throughout exploring the land of shadows it mentions that he has left multiple pieces of himself). ALSO thanks for the much needed information this helped alto after beating the dlc and where the storyline was apart to it!

I support that Radahn didn't agree to this vow, even if he had once made it willingly. What swayed me is the description of the incantation 'Light of Miquella', which is given through the Remembrance of a God and a Lord. The description reads "Miquella sought to accept all that was and would be, but found one that refused to be embraced." Given his fighting Malenia, I feel it is much more likely that he came to refuse the agreement (assuming he did agree to it at one point, there seems to be a lot of discussion whether a vow can be one sided) rather than simply wanting an honorable death to be sent to the Shadow lands. If he did fully agree, he didn't need to be killed. He could have just travelled with Miquella and ascend at Enir-Ilim. Eternal war as Miquella conquered the stars would have been enough for Radahn if he agreed.

Mohg wanted to marry Miquella long before Miquella even knew how to use his abilities, and honestly, so did a lot of other people too. St. Trina made me doubt, Thiollier and Ansbach made me question him, but I was never convinced fully if his true Intentions were bad or not. The more the lore progresses, the more you go like Radhan. He was like the good one among his family. He never sought power and was beloved by his men and even respected by almost everyone. But despite that he had a grusome end and even in death he was used as a pawn. I wish we see Radhan's POV in a futuer DLC but I guess that is a longshot.

Mohgs body doesn’t fully fade right away since he is an omen, which is how miquellanwas able to get his body. Let me explain Omens are rejected by the order, thus rejected by grace, the erdteee and essentially the law of the world, unable to be have their body to fully disappear when they die since the erdtree rejects taking their essence into the erdtree Whenever we killed any omens in the sewers or in the overworld, they are one of the few only characters who wouldn’t fade away and just have their dead body lay there in the ground. When we killed Morgott, he didn’t even fade UNTIL we burnt down the erdtree, letting morgotts body to actually start to fade, since the erdtree is slowly dying and so is the order (the law of the world).

We always assumed it was Ranni’s fate he was holding back, preventing her from gaining access to the Eternal City and unleashing what punished the Nox. But what if it was his own fate he was fighting? He didn’t want anything to do with his half brother’s plans, so took steps to avoid his fate.

18:00 or the body in the cocoon in mohgwyn palace is actually Mohg's body and what you fight is actually the soul of Mohg in a projection. with a name like the Formless Mother its pretty easy to imagine that the puddle of blood mohg spawns out of having somthing to do with this. Bruce Lee has a famous quote that has a part that says "be Formless, shapeless, like water" but he really means liquid, and blood is really just the liquid of your soul.

it kinda looks like the reason why they needed a consort was kinda cause they were already bodyless, making a functioning erdtree was more like the new body is the tree itself, wont be enought to just use blood or embeed into the tree, but to literally made the tree a body, but in order to be a regent, they nedded the consort, the one who listen to the tree, who follow orders and do the stuff they have to do... miquella chose his brother cause he admired him and think about him as a great man, yet looks like radhan were still loyal to marika and his golden order, i mean, once the stuff is done, maybe his brother would see what he was doing was a nice thing, and just in case it isnt...... then he can mind control him to do what was required to do. what is weird is the fact... well, marika dint needed to discard radagon to reach his status... OR?, maybe marika did it, yet once had his failed lord godfrey, who even if she tried to tame him prove to be too wild an chaotic(probably marika wanted to do something cruel or something his ex husband dint aprove and thats why she had to kick him), she chose to turn radagon back to life the same way miquella did with radagon ? , and made him a lord? ..... that could kinda explain a lot of stuff and the reason why to reach that status were kinda like a prison...that would still mean...there should be a diferent person who made that thing with the scadutree, yet the "consort" were probably killed, and i heavy suspect that consort on the scadutree was some sort of a serpent on a midgard kind of way.

I believe i got that text that you said hadn't been found, during the 2nd phase of the last boss fight he can hug you and you get whispers in your ear. If you get grabbed a secound time in the same fight you kneel get a new gresture miqualla says those line and "HEART STOLEN" like the death message comes up and its a instant death. Hope this helps.

I think that there might be more to the Scadutree Chalice given that it's the only major part of the map that doesn't seem to have any content tied to it. Given that in trailers there is a cutscene of Miquella healing the Scadutree and it seems to be pretty close to it too, this must be the key area to unlock this ending. What parameters are needed for it tho is not something I could figure out.

This is fascinating! It really adds a lot of new dimensions to an already deep story. Also, I find it intriguing that Mohg wasn't the child-molesting monster we all thought he was. It makes me wonder, just how bad would he have been, really, if Miquella hadn't messed with his head? Would he have been worse? Better, perhaps? It also casts new light on White Mask Varre's dialogue, in which he describes doubting the two fingers (representatives of the Greater Will and the Golden Order, which Miquella is implied to have rebelled against), an something about the Moghwyn dynasty bringing about an "age of love", or something like that. These lines have Miquella's influence written all over them, now that we know his full story!

okay so fun fact about Melina, Melina only becomes the gloom eyed queen again if the elden ring is not completed, hence when you become the frenzy flame, it's theorized that the rune of death goes back to her when maliketh died since she doesn't sacrifice herself to lite the flame. She is also speculated to have taught Ranni and showed her how to sperate her soul from her body since we do know that Melina first did the same. Melina probably knew what both mequellia and Ranni where up too and wanted a tarnish to help her complete her mother's will first. She probably was trying to help both of them to have them grant their mothers wish but it ended up not working out aince both came to want their own thing. Ranni gave Rykard the claw to kill maliketh and The godskin are in farm azula which means that melina was in the qhole plot, that's why Ranni knew that the rune of death had to first be returned but had no way to do so since her destiny was still linked, but that was because redahn holding back fate which could have also been his original way of making sure his fate as lord consort never came to be. He also had a servant of the gloom eyed queen where his great rune was, This could have been because Melina was trying to help redahn find a way to kill Mequellia who was trying to ascend to godhood to replace his mother, but knew that the only way the black flames would regain their power is if the rune of death was returned to the elden ring, Radahn probably was trying to hold off Melania untill melina was successful. Melina probably first thought killing godwyn would do it since it was easy to believe he had the rune of death but after that didn't work she needed the tarnish to guarantee that after she died to burn the erdtree, someone would kill maliketh and fix the elden ring, allowing Radahn to have a weapon that could kill a god and prevent Mequellia from achieving his goal. Also note that Melina and Messmer have theif eyes sealed which was after they had completed their purpose during the war, both had flame abilities and both are locked away and hidden from history, i do feel though that messmer was to hide her sin but Melina was to eventually fix her sin as melina is the only person who can use an incantation by Marika herself and no other child does. She knew about everything and what everyone was doing but choose to stay on her path, I really hope we get a dlc of Melina that delves deeper into her character and what she did

I have another idea for maybe a secret ending. When miquella grabs you once and starts the charm. Use his great rune. It removes the charm above head. Then maybe you can continue to see more then 2 grabs worth of his speaking. And maybe you can unlock a ending if you can just survive long enough to get grabbed 4 times or something.
