I got why she's got 4 though, it's because she's in a custom made Marionette But Miquella... Did he just see her and think "She looks cool, better look like that myself, and that one closed eye? I'm gonna close both of mine I bet that looks cooler!" 😂 Edit: Granted, her closed eye is because she's a busted doll eye, you know that kind that open and close as you lay down the doll or sit her right up. Yeah Miquella, not as smart as I thought he was.
@anecro4 ай бұрын
@@samf.s.7731you're glossing over deliberate character design decisions that have deeper meanings than just "oh that's broken". Don't forget that Ranni's doll body was constructed based on her teacher. Miquella could've assumed that personality and role, pulling some strings from way, way back. Either that or 4 arms signify something related to godhood or something those have in common that we haven't figured out yet. The closed eye is arguably even more important. Both Melina and Ranni have a closed eye and both times it is marked. Melina's closed eye is purplish as seen in the frenzied flame ending, possibly hunting at a connection with the gloam eyed queen who may have existed within the current realm of shadow. She was also in opposition to Marika, something shared with Ranni. There are a lot of coincidences here that I'm 99% sure aren't just that. We just need to dig deeper, Miquella's godhood form is extremely suspicious.

@dbsin4 ай бұрын
I was thinking that Radahn was chosen for a few reasons: 1) His personality was kind, so somewhat aligned with Miquella's ideals 2) He has the strength to be a Lord, seeing as how the past few Elden Lords needed to be strong enough to enforce and protect the will of their Gods 3) Radahn is probably the only sibling left who isn't 'tainted' by another God. Thinking of the other demigods who still live: Malenia has the scarlet rot on her, Messmer has snakes in his head, Melina was given a task by Marika to burn the Erdtree to make way for a new order (and being without a body and may be the gloam eyed queen or inheritor of that power), Ranni is possibly being hated for killing Godwyn, and Rykard is being blasphemously digested by a snake. Mohg and Morgott were out from the beginning since they were Omen, having traces of the Hornsent in them. And the Hornsent are susceptible to transforming into man-flies and/or going mad with aggression. Malenia going to Caelid to kill Radahn to get him to fulfill his 'vow', whether Radahn actually agreed to it or not in the first place, was also probably because Radahn was very much loyal to the Golden Order, and stuck 'holding back the stars' to do any weird 'consort to my brainwashing half sibling' shenanigans. What is interesting to me is that Miquella's journey to creating his order started when he realised just how flawed his mother's order of gold is, but in the end, he is still treading the same path as Marika. And while Marika tried to destroy her own order, with her other half Radagon trying to stop her because he represents Order, Miquella is trying to create a new order and his other half Saint Trina is trying to stop him out of love.

Miquella the Miqroomer
@nobuffer1014 ай бұрын
I’m willing to argue that Miquella pulled a Griffith and Radahn pulled a Guts for two reasons. 1) Miquella’s goal was originally just and based on compassion and kindness. The Outer Gods are responsible for toiling with everything they had loved in the Lands Between, every bit of suffering can be traced back to one of the many Outer Gods, and the only two people who have displayed a desire to sever that connection was Miquella and Radahn. Miquella admired Malenia who fought the rot she was afflicted with, but knew it would only delay the inevitable, it’s why he studies under Radagon and abandons the Erdtree to research Unalloyed Gold. Ultimately, his solution to sever the Lands Between from the Outer Gods was to become a god himself, and to do so had to abandon all that made him “human”, his kindness and love, his fears and doubts, even his flesh, Miquella separates himself from his once righteous goal through the darkest method possible. Forcing others to follow his ambition until they are no longer needed. Only then does he become an innocent monster. But he himself doesn’t want to do it, but knows it is necessary, as his other half, his original flesh, St. Trina, was aware that such an existence would be an eternal prison for Miquella, a fact she would know with certainty as his other half. 2) Radahn had also shared a love for the Lands Between and a desire to sever the connection between the Outer Gods that reigned over them. He did this by conquering the stars to prevent further influence and to protect his own family, the Carian royalty, from ever meeting their fate, which was dictated by the Dark Moon. But again, that too was an action that only delayed the inevitable, and could not ultimately solve the issue. Whether he agreed or rejected Miquella is only made clear by one simple fact, the aftermath of Aeonia. At the very least, it is when Malenia unleashed the Scarlet Rot does Radahn reject Miquella’s wish, despite either agreeing or rejecting the vow initially. This is shown by the sheer fact that Radahn resists succumbing to the Scarlet Rot. If he had completely agreed with Miquella’s plan he would’ve known he must die for his soul to traverse into the Realm of Shadows, and accepted the rot and died. But doing so would undo his conquest of the stars and allow his family to perish as their fate guided by the stars and the moon continue once more. Radahn did not want to save the world through Miquella’s method, nor did he want to be a puppet in his game of shared ideals. So he resists the Scarlet Rot and holds on to the stars even in his own insanity to prevent his death, and his soul from falling into the kind but inconsiderate Miquella’s hands. If even in his own insanity he wouldn’t harm or kill Leonard, in his sanity, he never would’ve agreed to betraying Jerren, Ohga, his loyal Redmanes, by letting Malenia harm Caelid if her only goal was him. The Scarlet Rot was Malenia’s last resort as she knew she couldn’t defeat and kill Radahn without it. But his fight with Malenia is proof that he rejected Miquella, and that Miquella would go through any means, even sacrificing his beloved sister whom he betrayed the Golden Order for, to get what he wants. Though their wish was the same, an age of compassion, someone who never betrayed their family, would ever serve someone who could so easily abandon them. Miquella’s compassion and love would be forced and false, a shadow of its original righteousness and nobility, which was long since abandoned with St. Trina. The Miquella Radahn might’ve followed, was not the Miquella who awaits him at the Divine Gateway.

@@KyngD469I just wanted to say that i feel amongst even other content creators, this hits closest to what i feel is “miquella” and his story. Theres been too many videos on the subject which seem to sidestep or forget Miquellas legitimate kindnesses, his ideals and work for others, and the very shedding of his flesh and the effect we know this had, particularly with the severing of St. Trina (aka Videos that claim Miquella was this horrific black and white manipulative evil or “insane”). In some ways Miquellas story is tragic,he truly did have noble aims and goals - and yes, he did some very despicable things to get there, but had he not shed his flesh and the essence of what made him “kindly” including but not limited to St. Trina - he might actually have created something worth savinf and worth fighting alongside him for. His mistake was discarding who he was to become this god - a fact echoed by St. Trina, who even asks us to take pity and save miquella, to forgive him. Miquellas story is heart-breaking and i feel like to many view it as this “he was the true evil manipulative bad guy all along” which missed so many key dialogues along the way that say otherwise. Kindly Miquella... I see you've thrown away... Something you should not have. Under any circumstances. How will you salvation offer...to those who cannot be saved? Sadly there is not, ive gotten my heart stolen, ive speed ran through the base game and i see no summoning sign of miquella inside the erdtree, only the option to touch fractured marika and mend the elden ring. I should also point out that when i got miquellested miquella said "lord of the old order, let us go together" so i believe when youre fighting radahn you are in fact the elden lord. @delta_16324 ай бұрын
I don't believe Radahn refused the vow and actually accepted, however that doesn't mean they can't end up on opposite sides. Let me explain, what I think the timeline looks like: In their youth Miquella asked Radahn to make that vow to become his king consort. I believe Redahn accepted, since his name in the final fight is promised consort, implying a promise was made, as well as the vow being honored, must mean a vow had to be made in the first place. Now if Radahn made that promise willingly/or due to Miquella's charm is another matter. This vow stood tall until Miquella got disillusioned with the golden order due to it not being able to cure his and Malenia's affliction. Miquella turned his back on the golden order, Radahn stood by it and now they were on opposite sides. Radahn now doesn't want to keep up the vow. Miquella tries to manipulate Radahn with his charms, however Radahn due to being from the Raya Lucarian royalty has his fate tethered to the stars, so by halting their movements he can resist the kind of enchantment Mogh and everyone was under. I believe that is the reason Radahn originally challenged the stars. So Malenia is sent to fight Radahn in order to make him keep the vow. She nukes Caelid in the process, but doesn't succeed, since Radahn manages to not only survive, but keep living with the help of his great rune keeping the scarlet Rot from killing him. The tragedy here is, Radahn even in what is basically his death manages to hold on and keep Miquella's plan from succeeding, until we come along and go through the events of the Redahn festival. The rest is explained ingame already. Mogh gets brainwashed by Miquella and forced to bring him to Mohgwyn palace, where we kill him like Miquella wanted, becoming probably the most tragic character in the entire game in the process. Miquella puts Radahn's soul into the body and resurrect his Frankenstein's Redahn as the Consort that was promised so long ago.
@XERX_7404 ай бұрын
Well if Radahn accepted or went through with the vow only because he was under Miquella control then obviously he refused the vow himself
@dshearwf4 ай бұрын
This is definitely biased by my own view about Miquella, actually not being a truly benevolent person as everything he does is self centered, even the curing of Malenia. But maybe that vow was something different in the beginning and Miquella actually held back what it truly entails, namely becoming his consort and creating basically a whole new world. The vow initially maybe was something along the lines of forming an alliance to end The Shattering by joining forces and rebuild together after ending the war. Just because I believe, while Radahn definitely was loyal to his lineage and Godfrey and Radagon being his idols for the champions they were, I can't see him being the biggest fanboy of the Golden Order itself. He doesn't use any incantations and outside his basic infantry donning the "standard" attire with his colors, literally nothing symbolizes The Golden Order in his domains, quite the contrary, he is deeply aligned with Glintstone magic, Caria and their rituals with one of those giant half bowls right in his courtyard. Not even his men use incantantions, they all use Glintstone magic stuff. I think he never intended to recreate the world and get rid of his beliefs. He also loves war and in a "Age of Compassion" there is no war. What would be his place there? That's against every fibre of his very being in addition to the fact that he has to become the consort of his "little" brother, which could have weirded him out even more. So, I think, Miquella definitely tried to talk him into his weirdo plans some other way and Radahn realized in time and took his measures fully realizing how powerful both Miquella and Malenia were. Also, I feel like Radahn was the winner at the end of it all. He may have been mindcontrolled in the last dlc fight, but he got to fight in his prime and truly earn his death burying his enemy alongside him with a worthy and incredibly powerful tarnished as the victor and someone who picks it up from here. After all, this is what Radahn revered all of his life: True warriors and the art of combat. I can absolutely not see him ever having revered Miquella as he is the complete opposite to that and then without any shred of honor on top of that.
@briannenurse46404 ай бұрын
@@XERX_740 Yeah, gotta agree here. A "vow" made via compulsion wouldn't be a vow freely given. But it's possible a younger Radahn agreed without recognizing what he was really doing. Maybe people had a habit of treating Miquella as a child because of his appearance, and Miquella banked on that fact. Who knows?
@delta_16324 ай бұрын
@@XERX_740 Yeah but the end result is still him accepting the vow initially. I personally believe Radahn accepted willingly, since how would he free himself from the charm to begin with, after succumbing to it that early on. Miquella wouldn't relinquish control if it was necessary for Radahn's compliance. And also you gotta remember, in the beginning that vow was completely fine from Radahn's perspective if he liked Miquella. Only once Miquella wanted to abandon the golden Order and prrsenst World itself him becoming a god could be considered a bad thing. Radahn accepting that vow in the past of his free will isn't a stretch.

@@samf.s.7731 There is literally a gravestone for Miura in the game. The Erd tree, a core component of the lore and the story is entierly bassed on the world tree from Berserk. This game and especially the DLC is a love letter to Berserk. Fromsoft's game and character design has for many years been heavily influenced by Miura's work. Artorias from DS1 DLC entire design is just Gut's in berserker armour. Here is also just 5 extremely specific ways within which Miquella is Griffith. 1: Both of their bodies are host's to a child and a god, the moonlight child and Femto/ Griffith, Saint Trina and Miquela. The gods both being held back by the child who they have to remove from themselves to become more powerful. 2: Both had to give up what they held closest to them to gain godhood, Griffith sacrificing the band of the Hawk to the Behlit and Miquela sacrificing Melania to kill Rahdan so she had a consort. 3: Both create a divine tree and use it to bring 2 different worlds closer together. Griffith killing Genishka and using his body to create the world tree bringing the human and spirit worlds closer together, Miquella growing the Halig tree and parting the veil over the land of shadow. 4: Both form a militia through their powers of coercion, Griffith through both iterations of the band of the hawk and Melania through mind control over multiple groups. 5: Both characters core driving force for what they do is to become the ruler of a safe and prosperous kingdom, Griffith's current kingdom in the manga is very arguably the best place to live in the Berserk world and Miquela's age of kindness. All of those points also ignore how Miquella's character design especially in the DLC is extremely similar to and based off of Griffith's design. Miquella's entire character ark and actions are Griffith's. You are very very much wrong you dismissive fool.

If we draw parallels to Miquella being Griffith (too many similarities) and Radahn being Guts (since he is THE chad of the universe and has all qualities of Guts i.e. being extremely strong while being extremely kind), it is safe to assume that Radahn must have made the promise long ago in their childhood as perhaps a part of a child's play. The problem was Radahn grew up whereas Miquealla did not, just like Griffith and Guts. Radahn chose to follow his own path while Miquella held on to the childish promises made in a much different time long ago. And just like Griffith, Miquella's mind goes completely cuckoo when Radahn or Guts says No.

How was Miquella supposed to "grow up" when he is afflicted with eternal childhood both mentally and physically? This may be a crazy theory of mine, but after reading Leda's sword and what its ability can do (cure the attacked of all aliments and buffs), I think that Miquella may have finished his needle. Because if it can do that, that means it can cure Scarlet Rot. So I wonder if he couldn't do that before the land of shadow, or what if he didn't cure Malenia on purpose at some point? Maybe, it helped his plans. Oh and I just remembered, I had the thought that the Blacksmith must be one of the last Hornsent survivors. He mentions how he saw how terrible Marika was.
@illyria77564 ай бұрын
I was wondering about him curing Freya, before the lands of shadow..with a kiss? So wait, if he could do that, couldn't he give his sis a daily goodnight kiss to rid her of the rot? If one wouldn't be enough.. He cures a random stranger instead. If he would be unable to cure Malenia, maybe cuz she's the source of the rot, a direct link with the rot god, how about healing the lands and creatures she poisoned during the fight that he himself ordered? Sometimes it feels like he wasn't trying to cure Mal, at least not anymore, he was only containing the infection. Until a moment he could use the rot, like with Radahn? Idk, but its a bit weird, especially since we learned he could just casually heal Freya with a kiss.
@1Fye4 ай бұрын
I don’t think this is crazy at all, rather it’s pretty plausible. I never even considered that Hewg could be Hornsent, so that’s a huge revelation for me and it makes perfect sense, as Marika’s guilt about her genocide of the Hornsent probably started her assignment to Hewg, to create a weapon that could kill a god. It is quite ironic she would task someone of the race she spent so much of her life despising to do so too.
@aaronzeezer4 ай бұрын
Just my own thoughts, but I curing afflictions and curses are two separate things. So while it’s easy for Miquella and his needle nights to cure people afflicted by scarlet rot, it’s difficult or impossible to cure Malenia of a curse from an outer god. He’s found a way to cure scarlet rot, but not rid Malenia the curse that gives her scarlet rot. Which is why in her case, the best solution is to halt the spread of it.
@1Fye4 ай бұрын
@@aaronzeezer I was under the impression that Miquella was pursuing godhood so that he could definitively stop all influence from the Outer Gods and usher in an age where only he had the power to influence people. I would also like to mention that using Miquella's Unalloyed Needle eliminates the inheritance of the Frenzied Flame on your character(after the 3 finger ritual), which seems to be more than just it's influence, but a physical manifestation of power as it needs to be transferred or given. In this regard, I personally think he has at least the capability to partially cure or erase the effects of Outer God powers to some extent and not just halt the spread of it.

25:00 I disagree with this conclusion and the assumptions made to reach it. First, it was clearly difficult and convoluted for Miquella to reach the land of shadows, meaning the Radahn likely couldn't have 'just gone with'. Second, its repeatedly implied when mentioning the vow and promise, that Radahn was part of that. What exactly the vow and promise were explicitly, we don't know. Third, your own comment and understanding of him not backing down to Malenia because he is the war general also counts against your assumption that he would just go along with no issue if he had agreed and therefore he must not have agreed. He very well could have agreed under the stipulation that Miquella could have him/his soul as consort once he is defeated in combat. As a general as renowned as he was this seems more likely imo. This also feeds into why he wouldn't just attack Malenia when he had the upper hand as you suggested he could have, but instead wanted to fight her on equal terms and was more concerned with his honor and the fight than he was in preventing his soul from going to Miquella. And even further back to my original point, Miquella had to leave his body behind to enter the land of shadow. It isnt impossible to assume Radahn had to be killed for him to join Miquella in the land of shadow as well. I genuinely suspect, considering the wording used and how its repeatedly said that he is the 'Promised' consort, that Radahn accepted Miquellas proposal, but under the stipulation that he would be Miquellas consort only once he was defeated in combat. Or possibly that he agreed but only IF he could be defeated in combat. Both of these scenarios make more sense in what we know of Radahns character, how the story played out, as well as fits the dialogue more accurately.

For the Radahn not agreeing to Miquellas plans the only thing i want to point out is everyone says "promised consort" which kind of implies he promised he would. Of course it could just be Miquellas promise and hes gaslighting him into thinking he agreed. However, I like to think that initially Radahn did agree maybe because he was young and had no attachments. But after his life experiences he couldn't just die. He had to hold back the stars, he had to protect Selia, he had to be with his soldiers, and ultimately he wanted to die in battle. So Miquella sent Malenia to make good on his promise. I also want to know if Malenia was under Miquellas charm as well. Because in my opinion it could be either way. Shes super loyal to him, but that could be for the obvious reasons. I also think she couldn't be his lord, even tho itd be the easiest option, because she is an empyerean herself and because she holds the scarlet rot. Just my own thoughts.

In a young child's mind, which Miquella seems to display, that would have be seen as an act of kindness in a world so cruel and unforgiving. Therefore he saw Radhan as fitting to be his Lord Consort. I know, it's quite a simplified reason. But seeing it from a young child minded perspective, it makes good sense. It's could be in Miquella's eyes: "Everyone is fighting and doing cruel things for self gain. But big brother Radhan learned gravity magic to aid his horse, yet he did not have to. The whole Revelation that he is eternally youthful not only in body but in mind fully makes me believe that the whole "promised consort" business played out exactly like a kid saying she's going to marry their teacher when they get older. "Big brother, when I become a God will you be my husband" "Yeah, sure thing buddy." And he's just like well, you promise so you got to keep your promise whether you like it or not. Make sure you are at least between the levels of 120-150. Most people are over exaggerating how hard the DLC is. But those levels will make you have a comfortable amount of health and endurance because the DLC isn't really meant for leveling up I would say. I need around 300,000 souls to level up once so it's mostly about the gameplay and experimenting with new items and spells

One very important lore implication that was lost in translation was in the description of "Light of Miquella". In English, the text says " Miquella sought to accept all that was and would be, but found one that refused to be embraced. No wonder, as one god, and one king consort, is all the world needs." However, in Japanese, it says this instead: "ミケラは、全てを受け容れ、抱こうと望み だがひとつだけ、そうできぬものを知っていた 絶対の神も、その王も 決して並び立つことはない" Which translates into "Miquella wishes to accept and embrace everything/all. However, he knew one that refused to be embraced. The absolute god and that Lord They would never stand equal/would never stand together". As far as I could share my opinion with other JP players, they also concluded that sentence refers to the relationship between Miquella and Radahn, and the latter was definitely not vibing with Miquella's idea. This would explain why Radahn was pretty much acting like a puppet even when Miquella claimed Radahn soul was back.

I like the twist on miquella’s antagonistic ways, while his intentions are pure he is still naive and not aware of the full extent of consequences of his actions. By abandoning his “love”, aka St. Trina, those who followed him begin to question his motives and even one spirit can be found that asks how they expect to be saved by someone who couldn’t save his other half. He also has a lot of empathy, perhaps too much, and takes it upon himself to carry the burdens of his family’s past and their afflictions and that’s why he does what he does

He's described as having eternal youth, which is a VERY broad age range. I sincerely doubt that someone with the mental faculties of an 8 year old could 1: Grow a second divine tree 2: Invent two entire schools of magic 3: Found a theology with actual practical backing 4: Create the Unalloyed Gold Needle 5: Mastermind the entire events of Mohg's story and SotE

Leda confirms that Ansbach was the one who led the retinue of Pureblood Knights to kidnap Miquella from the Haligtree, and that Ansbach himself cut Miquella from his place in the tree. It seems more likely that Miquella was travelling freely around the Lands Between, like St. Trina appeared to be able to do even after he had been sealed inside the tree, during the Malenia's march on Caelid. Maybe Miquella was in the back lines, and that it when he met Freyja. Far be it from a Demi-God like Miquella to be hindered in the enacting the finer elements of his great plans, like healing, and charming, a scarlet rot infected Redmane Knight.
@1Fye4 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure that Miquella didn’t bring back Godwyn for one very important reason, his soul is completely obliterated. The night of black knives explicitly states that Ranni used the curse mark of death to rid herself of her body at the same time Godwyn was killed, using his soul and her body as a complete sacrifice. Furthermore, whatever Miquella planned to do at Castle Sol for Godwyn failed, this inevitably led to Miquella not being able to use Godwyn’s Soul in Mohg’s body, as he was unable to restore it or even give him a true death.
@1Fye4 ай бұрын
I would also like to comment on Mohg. Personally, I don’t think he is without blame. I think Mohg is charmed *after* he takes the cocoon from the Haligtree. His character motivations all align with him wanting to start his own Dynasty based around the Formless Mother and his blood of which he’s been shunned his whole life for. More specifically, I think he shouldn’t be apologized to because he is still a terrible person, his realm is bloody and festering, like the sewers he grew up in (see the swarm of flies incantation), and the culture he cultivates of his Pureblood Knights and Bloody fingers is that of the hunting and mutilation of others seemingly only to please the Formless mother entity. A bad person got taken advantage of by another bad person, after he tried and failed to use what he thought was Miquella for his own means, is all I really think happened.

I never understood the Godwyn eclipse theory, because the eclipse is specifically said to be tied to the mausoleum knights and the soulless Demigods that rest within them and the idea that Miquella wanted to resurrect Godwyn is outright disproven in the base game because the golden epitaph description basically states how Miquella in fact mourned Godwyn and wanted him to die peacefully and not be in the state we see him in, so I always thought that theory made no sense.
@1Fye4 ай бұрын
@@Doommarine-sr8y Yeah I agree. The discourse around the Eclipse theory is confusing and seems to have a lot of variance depending on who you ask. Personally, I always thought Miquella was trying to use the Eclipse to achieve Godwyn's "true" death and not as a tool of resurrection. Although, seeing as Malenia failed to fully kill Radahn, the eclipse is moot anyways as it won't happen with Radahn holding the stars(and what I can assume also the Moon) at bay.

Miquella chose Radahn because he is strong. Just as Godfrey says. "A crown is warranted with strength." And Godfrey was the first Elden Lord afterall. And the reason why Malenia and Radahn fought, I think Radahn made a vow with Miquella. What vow, I don't know. But something went wrong. The Shattering happened. So Radahn, probably broke his vow, and began to go to war. That's all he lived for. Just like Godfrey, his idol. So, probably, Miquella sent Malenia to take Radahn by force. Malenia stood no chance and she nuked Caelid. But this didn't work because, although he lost his wits, he was still alive. So Miquella's plans, for now, came to a halt. Until the Tarnished arrived. And it wouldn't be too far fetched if Radahn was forced into this. Because Radahn was also kind underneath all the war. And Miquella used this kindness to make him King Consort.
@S_B-4 ай бұрын
22:05 I think that may have been why miquella was so bent on restoring godwyns soul at castle sol (that description on that one sword said that miquella desperately hoped his brother would die a true death... maybe so he would be able to be respawned in the realm of shadow?) He wanted godwyn to be his lord but his soul was not able to be brought back (via what that spirit says at the top of castle sol), so radahn became his runner up choice?

Marika sacrificed melina her firstborn who she had with the seduced male counterpart of the GEQ then consulted formless mother to assist in ascension and it required a literal Mountain of blood and Marikas lineage was cursed as a result with aspects of the formless mother (the crucible). The greater wills original mistake. Miquellas deal is he sacrificed his very flesh and power itself which would’ve had him acend but he would’ve been a puppet god just as radahn was his puppet consort. He would’ve had none of his will left intact which st Trina knows. This is the fate of emperyans who ascend they sacrifice the most important thing to them. Great video! Just adding a few speculations/thoughts I have regarding the lore. I think the memory scene where Miquella asks Radahn to promise him of being his consort is the moment where he charms Radahn and makes him accept the request. Radahn and Miquella make a vow together and Radahn becomes the promised consort. Radahm would later go on to conquer the stars (probably because he is worried that an asteroid containing Astel like creatures might land on his town of Selia). But this act changes his fate of becoming consort and breaks the charm. This also creates a new fate for Miquella - St. Trina, which is not of godhood, but of a loving compassionate being that is opposed to godhood (which is what Radahn would have wanted of Miquella). This is why St. Trina wants you to kill Miquella. To attain godhood, Miquella had to reach the gates of divinity, so he was faced with Messmer who guards it. Messmer was like an older brother to Radahn and fiercely loyal to Marika and so he naturally disagreed to Miquella's plans and blocks the entrance to the divine tower with Scadutree thorns, sealing it with his sealing tree that can only be burned by him or his fire. Of course Miquella tries his luck with Messmer of charming him but the base serpent within Messmer would break the charm. At this point, Miquella and his gang had nobody with enough muscle to take on Messmer so he continues to charm different people from different worlds and hoped one of them defeats Messmer. This is why we the tarnished are given his steed Torrent in the hopes that one day in our journey, we shall kill Radahn (which is what Ranni wanted too, Miquella and Ranni shared a common interest here, hence it is through Ranni we get Torrent), then Mogh and then finally Messmer.
