Emma Reiman Greninja doesn’t get nearly as much special treatment as Charizard. The special treatment Charizard gets is toxic at this point. Also Greninja doesn’t have a mega, nor does it appear in Galar. It does have special form, though only in the anime. Unless you get the Greninja that came from Ash in the Sun & Moon demo release.

As for the most popular typing, because over a third of Pokemon in the top thirty overall were Ghost or Dark type, fans of Pokemon are apparently also fans of Halloween. Either that or people just love the designs the Ghost and Dark Types have to offer. Maybe both claims are true.

I’m sad that Meganium is one of the worst rated fully evolved starters because soul silver was the first game I picked up and I chose chikorita, so that line has a special place in my heart. Even if it isn’t the strongest I think it’s cute and underrated and will always pick it. (The Cyndaquil line and tododile line are cool too but they don’t have a special place in my heart.) P.S if you make fun of someone else’s starter choice you will never be a real Pokémon fan

if i understood correctly, everyone gets 8 votes per day, one for each region. if that is true, i think greninja won because of kalos small roster. while everyone was choosing different pokemon in every big region because of the awesome pokemon variety, people were drawn into greninja because all the rest arent that great in my opinion. yes there are other cool ones, but not enough to separate the votes from greninja. because of this i think there was just a high concentrate of votes on greninja and not that it was actually the most popular. if that makes sense.

This lends itself for abuse since there are some people out there who are crazy enough to create multiple account to game the system and inflate the numbers beyond any reasonable metric. @@fishbowl5308 I literally have never seen the exp system being used as an argument by someone hating on gen 5 tho. The elemental monkey are fine. They could have been better, but the idea of a second (weaker) set of starters is a super cool concept. Sure their designs aren't loved but thats called taste. Also every gen has bad designs. You can't just make every pokemon a fan favourite, that would be boring. Btw it's not a floating icecream. You should look into it's origin/lore before you say this. I'd also prefer a floating icecream over...idk...a seal? A turd that sticks out of the ground? A fat cat? Who really cares about a floating icecream, we had object inspired pokemon since the franchise first started to exist. If you think this point is valid then you must hate literally every single generation.

@@medplug4061 I know what it is but its design no matter what in game lore says is floating ice cream which I don't mind its how they executed it that's bad and really you've never heard how gen 5 is weird because if you're a higher level then the wild pokemon your exp is like cut in half making andino hunting the only viable way to grind in those games

@@fishbowl5308 You can't say that a whole genaration is bad because of one pokemon YOU think is poorly executed. Ever heard of the word opinion? Also, I played BW as a child and never had any problems with levels and had no need to grind at all iirc because trainer battles give enough exp. I get it that you basically have to grind up on wild pokemon if you are doing some kind of challenge but I doubt that more than 10% of all people that ever played a pokemon game even attempted something like a nuzlocke. That being said, I like the exp system of gen5 a whole lot more than the one in gen8. Does this make gen8 a 'bad' generation in my opinion? No, it doesn't. Lets just be honest, every generation could be better and both of us are entitled to our opinions. The difference is that you try to put your opinions as facts, thats just not how it works.

I'm sorry but the chespin line gets a bad rap. I used it in my replay of Pokemon X after I beat it with greninga and I was quite happy with Chestnaughts performance, whereas when I used Delphox it performed like trash.

@@thatonemcdonaldsemployee3506 It's just my opinion, but maybe the Chespin line really gets worse popularity but Delphox is not that bad as several people say. It's got a great movepool with moves like Psychic or Flare blitz (Flamethrower too I guess but I use Flare Blitz) and using it was really fun, which in the end for a regular player like me, it's what matters.
