Something I learned the hard way is to water first, then fertilize. I've burned a couple of plants and the leaves are left permanently damaged 🤯

Hi Richard! I have killed so many succulents over the years...I have a stack of empty nursery pots.....that they come in....My favorites are crassulas and kalanchoes....easier care for me.....I also LOVE Haworthias....and have many many different ones...kinda collect them!...highly recommend all varieties :).....I am going to try the stones....I have a container....that looks nice on your video....great tips like bottom watering as well....I need to try harder when I bring them in for the winter....some make it through and some don't....but I would love if they all made it of course.....you do such a nice job taking care of yours....thanks for the nice video!

I think we’ve all killed a couple of succulents at least. I like a nice Crassula too. Thanks for watching

I was thinking about getting a jade plant (even though I'm pretty hard on plants). That lead me to buy 2 crassula ovatas, one of which is undulata and the other ET's fingers. It's been a couple of weeks and they're not dead yet! Thanks for your tips

Yellow or white sand at the bottom of your pot holder will hold the water for better wicking and reduce the incidence of pest and viruses.

I bought an Echeveria today, but the packaging was so rough that it pretty much ended up losing all of it's Farina, so I guess we'll see how this goes...
@SheffieldMadePlants2 жыл бұрын
That’s a shame. Was it discounted?
@sandy_carpetsthesecond50132 жыл бұрын
@@SheffieldMadePlants Oh, Yeah. It was stretched to heaven and back, so it was going for less than half price, but now I'm a little concerned as to how this is going to go down. I bottom water, so I'm not too stressed about it absorbing too much moisture from that. Should I move it into a low humidity environment? Or should it be fine for as long as I dodge the foliage when watering?
@SheffieldMadePlants2 жыл бұрын
@@sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 I’d keep it in a bright spot and see how it gets on. Eventually new leaves will grow and replace the damaged one.

Do these also apply to lithops? Also is there a problem with how dense the succulents were planted with each other in a pot? Thank you!
@SheffieldMadePlants Жыл бұрын
Never had lithops so don’t know. They’re succulents so theory should be the same. Overcrowding can be an issue. It’s good to have good air flow
