Brian, huge Star Wars fan here. Do you know about a character called "Grand Admiral Thrawn"? He is the most successful and well admired Fleet Admiral in the Empire. He emphasized on appearance, where Sith lord Sidious/Palaptine had a sinister, evil leader look and Darth Vader had the imposing fear look. Thrawn kept his appearance sharp which allowed his crew even though not well efficient to learn and grow, turning his crew into the famous 7th fleet. Having a sharp appearance counts.

10 Be yourself is a dangerous advice. This would mean not improving yourself. There are people that are objectively not nice persons and they should change to a better theirself instead of being theirself.

I understand what you meant but I would say he was aiming something aling the lines of "Be comfortable with yourself". I am a Star Wars fan, so in a formal setting I would go on to make the first impression like Brian in his intro, something like this - "Have you ever wondered why the Empire in Star Wars has all the wealth? Sure the powers are great add ons but here is the real reasons why...." I go on to list out some corporate jargon. The thing is to be comfortable who you are. Agreed we all improve but being comfortable is where Brain was hitting at.
