I don't know a lot about SF5 but every time I see a Bison at a top level he looks overwhelming to play against. Definitely going to pick him up when I start playing..

Great video! Just picking up bison now and this is really helpful. Do you have any tips on doing Ex Psycho Blast into Ex Knee Press? I'm really struggling to get the input out

That’s a good question. For that Combo I’d recommend trying to take advantage of some input leniency measures and right before inputting the punches already start holding back to start charging for the knee press. It’s a technique Guile players have used to decrease time between booms, should work for Bison.

very awesome. Im relatively noob at fighting games but i play juri and bison. I see the light hit confirm is performed but i cant seem to pull it off. I tried crouch LK xx crouch LP xx L. Knee Press but I cant confirm fast enough to get he L. Knee Press out. I will try the Crouch LK xx Stand LK xx L. Knee Press to see if i have an easier time with that. I can confirm off of medium attacks, but is there a trick to being able to confirm off of light attacks?

Light confirms can be tricky. The reason I did Crouch LK to Stand LK to L. Scissors is that it’s a great follow up to H. Knee Press. You are +2 at a very close range so you can check people not blocking low and it’s also a frame trap. It’s a pretty common thing to hit, so if you can work on that it’s a great place to apply it to and practice in a real match.

@@squilliam0909 Thanks for the follow up and the practical use tips. I can do light hit confirms with Juri now , I can do crouch LK - Crouch LP, then end with either L.DP, or H.Fuha trigger. Need to put bison back in the lab and see if i can with him too. It seems impossible to react in time at first but i grindded it out in the training room. still inconsistent with it in match because sometime crouch LK moves them out of range for crouch LP to hit , but I have pulled it off a couple times in game.

@@partingmist8550 between you and me I’m not a confirming king either. Besides light to light Bison doesn’t have much to confirm the way Ken or Karin can. Advice I see from a lot of people is to assume that it is gonna hit and react to it not hitting instead of assuming it won’t and trying to change if it does.

The VT2 activate combo at 1:10 seems missed a 5hp before the command grab?

Ok so for that one it was a notation error, I was supposed to put 5 HP before the command grab in the text. It is the combo you would go for in that scenario.

I’d be down to do that! I know some Akuma players and could definitely get the routes down. Can’t guarantee anything but that sounds like a fun character.
