I was first in HK in 1954 when there were no skyscrapers, I would travel on a rickshaw, cross on the Star ferry, walk over rough grass and brush to get the funicular railway to the restaurant on Victoria Peak, my father as an RAF pilot crashed on the original Kai Tak airport in 1952 in a Hastings as it was a difficult runway to land on, such a change even in my life time.
