zumzy u - I agree it’s extremely important to be smart with who you choose to be in a relationship with. I’ve found that there’s complete trust and then there’s co-dependency which is extremely unhealthy for any type of relationship. It’s really difficult for me to trust someone who has WhatsApp on their phone. It just tells me they’re up to no good. What really is the purpose for WhatsApp?? It’s to hide messages. If someone is trying to hide messages then they’re not being truthful, which is cause to distrust. I truly believe that it’s really important to make smart decisions and smart choices in life generally speaking. Hope this helps. 😌

I'm glad that you summed up the video asking the same questions about whether a man can trust a woman because I was going to point out that us women must fill the same obligations we expect of our man. Now, you asked how do I know if my man loves me and can be trusted....I go from my instincts and secondly, his behavior. With the gift that I have, he doesn't have to say sh*t...I just know. I know how he feels, his motives for doing what he has, how he thinks, and why he is the way he is. It's nice to get confirmation but when I am emotionally bonded to a man..,.my instincts tell me everything I need to know and they have yet to be wrong.
@DarlitaStephens Жыл бұрын
Just to elaborate on behavior...I'll know if he is stepping out on me (cheating) and no one will have to tell me a thing. In the past, I not only knew who my man was cheating with but with whom....and no one said sh*t to me. It's all a part of this gift that I have and it has only grown stronger and more sensitive as I've aged. So, if he decides to step out on me he better make sure she's worth it because I'm gonna pack my kids up and our stuff and roll out. FAIR WARNING.

I'm writing a book about my relationship with my late husband, Tim, and I really liked this person as my best friend as well as loved him, but my traumatic childhood dealing with narcissistic abuse and subsequent narcissistic abuse has made it difficult for me to trust my perception of reality. I was taught I was unworthy of love from a man, so it has been hard at times to see if my late husband actually loved me. So these videos help confirm that Tim, although he wasn't perfect, he was a good partner, whether my inner child thought I deserved that or not.

Simple stuff. Eye contact is a huge one for me. Eye contact is very intimate. I feel if you can simply look your partner in the eye to me creates a connection that they are paying attention and being present with you. The other is communication. If you can express what you want or need or how you can help them with their wants and needs. Ask them don't tell them, it creates a better environment to negotiate. Makes them less defensive.

I liked this video very much. It's good to see that most of trust and connection comes from simple but still very firm points. Usually, we overthink for silly things instead of focusing in the relationship as a whole. I like that you highlighted the positive points. And I like the final part - I recognized I had all of the points as a partner. It's very important to see both sides instead of complaining only about what the other doesn't do or isn't. As per my opinion, my boyfriend has all except the number 2 (partially), but don't know if it's something most made out of my head, although he already gave me reasons to doubt him but in overall, he is an amazing partner and our values align very much.

Very insightful, Matt, really enjoyed the video. I want to be that type of woman that a man trusts no matter how old he is. A man that is faithful to Jesus and take my feelings into account as well.

Lemme add #5 is super in instilling value to the "CFOs" in relationships lol If you truly respect the earning partner there's no other way to show it than to safe guard what they work so hard for BOTH of you 💖

Thank you, this one has been enlightening, especially to know that you have a marriage mentor/ counsellor, you go to talk to. Great insight, thanks Matt!

These people im talking about are people that knows his taken but still chooses to insult us by pushing my man or teasing him with another girl given that they know he had me already. That's fucking annoying.

I was married for 9 years and with him for 11 years. He had none of these qualities. I can’t believe I put up with him for so long. Never listened to me, cared about what I thought about anything. Wanted sex on tap and when I said no he referred to me as a Ferrari “ what’s the point in having a Ferrari when you can’t drive it” ... I left him two years ago and now I’m with a man who has all those attributes you listed.... the reason I have a man with them now is because after 11 long years I know now exactly what I don’t want. The man I’m with now is absolutely perfect and I can see us spending the rest of our lives together.

This is the MOST helpful video for me! I have a pulling guilt at me when I cut ties with guy's because I don't trust them and it's because I don't know exactly what I'm looking for in trust. I never know exactly what's missing.
