Laundry hack: If clothes are ever left in the dryer for too long & your shirts/pants are full of wrinkles….stick a few ice cubes in your dryer & run for about 20 minutes (+\-)….the steam from the ice as it melts will takes the wrinkles out…😃

Also for Tide powder...my favorite hack is too put the oven racks and top burners on a towel in the bathtub and run hot water on them. Add a cup of Tide and let sit overnight. I use an SOS pad to help clean debris off but basically your stuff looks brand new...

The powdered tide hack is game changing. I use it on my couches all the time. I mix one tablespoon of powdered tide and one tablespoon of powdered oxyclean in a glass spray bottle with water and I swear there is no stain it won't remove. My tip would be to use hot water so everything dissolves and leave the sprayer off the bottle for an hour or so because it kind of acts like a shaken up bottle of soda in the beginning and I have had bottles crack from the pressure. Powdered tide also works great on grease. I put a cup of it in my bathtub and fill it up with the hottest water I can get from the tap, then I soak my gas stove grates and fridge shelves, I have used this method on my blinds from my kitchen window that get all grimey from being next to the stove. It works great if you sprinkle it in the oven then make a paste with just water to scrub out the whole oven. It works great on the stove exhaust hood in the same paste form...you get the point, if it gets greasy, tide will clean it.

For what it's worth, Consumer Reports says NOT to use Dawn in your washing machine. 1). Laundry machines are made to handle low-sudsing detergents, and dish detergent is high-sudsing - soap can build up and damage the drum. 2) Laundry detergent is made to clean AND PROTECT fabric, dish detergent is not, and can be harmful to clothing. 3) Ingredients in dish detergent can be irritating to sensitive skin. Better to use one of several products available specifically to help whiten fabrics in the washing machine.

Greetings from Ireland!!! Just about your 'curtain' problem, why don't you get a skylight-window pole, you know the ones you need to open roof skylight windows that aren't accessible .. they are long and have a little hook on the end so you could hook your curtain ring over the join in the curtain pole and then slide the curtains across easily, then you can then re-arrange the curtains once you have them pulled across ... my parents' have one for this purpose ... (it also helps with keeping the fabric free from hand-prints/keeps them cleaner!! Let me know if it works!!! Good luck with it xx

I got the curtain rod tape on Amazon (mine had a red film that you pull off) and they slide like air hockey! For reference they are pulling blackout curtains that are 208” wide and are 120” long. That has really solved all the rod joints that used to be problematic. Also my curtains are hung with curtain pins and rings. Wish I could link the one I got because it has been a game changer!

I have the same problem with tall curtains and closing/opening them, especially across where the rod connects! I saw another KZbin video with a remote control curtain opener from Amazon - I didn’t investigate it at the time but maybe you might want to try it out? I think I will look into it too - I’m always afraid I’m going to pull too hard on the curtains and pull the curtain rod out of the wall. Great hacks - love the scissors in the closet/dresser idea and cozy socks in the nightstand - thanks!

To use Dawn as a stain remover: Mix equal parts Original Dawn with Hydrogen Peroxide, apply to stain with a clean toothbrush and give it a quick scrub. Test first on colors, but works great on whites! Also Dawn is fantastic for that ring-around-the-collar on men’s shirts! Just squirt a line of Dawn (original Dawn only!) on the ring, scrub it in with the toothbrush, then toss in the washer!
