I’m in Florida. You just can’t buy used fabric covered furniture like that because if it’s in a garage or storage for even 3 minutes, it’ll be Bug infested to the point of a horror movie! They’re SO bad here! My Apartment complex is so strict with rules to help keep bugs to a minimum that Trash left outside your door in the breezeways is fined $100 PER BAG! And they’ll tack that on to your rent! Then if that’s not all paid IN FULL on the 1st? AUTOMATIC EVICTION and you’re sued for 3X the rent plus legal fees! Breaking lease is 3X the rent too! I’ve seen beautiful pieces on the side of the road but they’ll rot there lol Otherwise that chair she got was gorgeous! Tho I thought it was Gold. Did she recover it?

I have small closet, I share with my husband. A few weeks ago I got some of those 3 in one big and I got all my hanging camis and put them in there. Makes so difference. Even my husband’s tanks I folded and put in one of the boxes.

That huge armoire was totally exquisite! At THAT price, you really can't go wrong. I love all of your upgrades in that closet & I LOVE that chair you picked for that corner table. It's lovely. I'd love to see your ideas for a small space that is deeper than wider! I have a closet that is about 8' deep, but a little under 3' wide, with a high, slanted ceiling. I love how you made quick decisions. I have found that if I give myself time to think about it, I will usually keep it. I'm getting better at snap decisions for most things. I then have a maybe pile and then go back through it the next day or two, giving my brain a break from decision fatigue. Works so much better.

Off topic, but I found an octagonal end-tabele, circa late '60s or earlyroom! at a Long Island "Restore". I took the door off, stuck a round pet pillow in it, and my kitties love it. Eventually, I'll get around to sanding and painting it, but for now, it makes for a cozy sleeping nook!

I have a tradition closet set up as you come into the house. I use a shoe organizer on the inside of my closet door to organize gloves and scarves. This leaves the shelves open for numerous types of winter gear contained in baskets. The baskets are also on and under a white wire Dollar Tree shelf list ft that ng (whatever they're called). This doubles the vertical space. I also keep a large mat that is intended to go under a pet food bowl. This is a great place for wet shoes or boots. There's one I've painted in a neutral color, under the hall tree as well. I'm a disabled senior on a fixed budget so all of my solutions have come from Dollar Tree.

6:58 I have two of those! They have cardboard inserts to keep them sturdy, and they look really nice. Mine are used for storing small rolls of fabric (i.e. fat quarters) for my doll/miniature projects. I don't have a lot of storage-type furniture, so I utilize over-the-door space in most non-public living areas. Your closet makeover turned out great! Thanks for the tips on where to get stuff cheaply. I forget about the Goodwills and ReStore in my area - I need to make a point to check them out first (rather than running to Amazon) when I need something.

I love going to the ReStore. I do wish mine looked like yours but that is true of DT too. Had to tell you we painted our 8X10 bathroom for $5 with incorrectly mixed paint. I told my cousin about this find and he was able to find paint for their garage super cheap. Thanks for the ideas.

My friend bought every mis -mixed gallon of paint she could find that was a similar taupe beige. A guy recommended we dump all 5-6 gallons in a big storage tub and mix it with a tool that attaches to your drill. One color looked really gold and another was really a pale lavender. We ended up with a perfect light khaki color and painted my living room, dining room, hall, and two bedrooms…..all for about $60. I love the color!!!
