real tips for growing long hair: 1) drink a bunch of water 2) stop dying it (think about it, when you dye your hair.. you are damaging it, which causes it to break..therefore you have to cut it) 3) oil your scalp every time before washing(i like castor oil, jojoba, amla, coconut, etc) 4) no heat(and if you do use heat, only use it once every 2-3 months, WITH a heat protectant) 5) use cold water to wash out conditioner 6) invest in a deep conditioner 7) silicone/sulfate/ all natural shampoos and conditioners (calia is my favorite) 8) sleep in a braid to protect it from breakage and getting knotty, and when it’s windy outside i keep my hair braided 9) use a scrunchy instead of a regular hair tie 10) search and destroy method instead of trimming it an inch every month 11) put a leave in conditioner on your ends everytime you wash your hair 12) only wash your hair once or twice every week this has worked for me, it should work for you too

@jj-of3vk Жыл бұрын
I have short hair and I want it to be as long as possible. Does a trim every month really make your hair grow faster? Because I'm afraid that the hairstylists will cut off too much hair and I'll end up with shorter hair which is the last thing i want.
@Jofoyo Жыл бұрын
@@jj-of3vk It's a bogus suggestion to get you in the salon more. Cutting your hair just means you lose hair. It's not magically stimulating any more hair growth, if that were the case, we'd probably all have longer hair already.
@rana81vijendra6 ай бұрын
Results take time, but they heavily rely on your what you eat and hair care routine. Begin your day with soaked almonds, white eggs, pomegranate, carrots, and fish. Stay hydrated with ample water and aim for 8 hours of sleep. Use coconiioon shampoo to wash your hair and apply liittleexttra reactivaate serum every day. Follow this routine for at least 80 to 90 days, and you'll notice reduced hair fall and improved hair growth.

Lara Hyland yeah, the cartoon pic of growth in 30 days piqued my interest as well! I’ve never seen anyone’s hair grow so fast! Menopause also slows the growth of hair & changes its texture. Hormones definitely affect the hair. Thyroid problems also cause hair loss as does some medications. Stress ruins everything in the human body & realistically, impossible to eliminate. Finding a way to de-stress daily is very beneficial to the whole body. I’ve read repeatedly that castor oil stimulates hair growth.

Lara, this is an old belief, which I found to be true: My mom always trimmed our hair on the new moon. Mine grows crazy fast! She also taught us to never brush wet hair, never comb dry hair. Handle it gently. Protect it from extreme sun and wind, when necessary. Hope this helps.

Full disclaimer! Not a cosmetologist!! But, I do have a lot of experience with different types of hair textures and lengths. The thumbnail of this video made it seem like the contents would include distinct instructions on growing hair. That is not completely what I saw. I felt that this video was all over the place with its content, and I felt overwhelmed. This video might have been a little more bearable, if the “quiz” was at the beginning of the video, or was completely separate. I already know that I have extremely dry hair due to my naturally curly texture. I also have dry skin, so I personally don’t use shampoo, except after an oil treatment. I would never advise someone to “wash rinse and repeat” because that strips the scalp of its NATURAL oils that it NEEDS! Unless they leave oil in to long, and it’s being stubborn.

Vickie Clark I think it falls in the light hair color catagory. That's were I put my mom.💜
@rlbeam7 жыл бұрын
I disagree, @Wendy O'dell. Grey/white hair is a category of its own. Not only does it change the texture of your hair, but it needs hair products with NO yellow dyes and requires regular maintenance with a blue/purple hair product to counter environmental discoloration.

RL Beam Well, I guess my Mom is one of a kind then. Her hair is fine, she keeps it cut short in a boy cut. It looks cute on her. She definitely falls into the light catagory but thanks for sharing.

Wendy O'dell I’m curious as to the brand of shampoo & conditioner your mom uses. Many women with grey, silver or white hair do use a purple or blue shampoo weekly to keep it from yellowing due to environmental factors. Those who are smokers or live with one may use the purple shampoo 2-3 times a week. I think is awesome that her hair is soft. Was she a natural blonde? Graying hair does change hair texture, however, I’ve noticed that women with silver &/or white hair tend to have much softer hair that curls easily.. Good quality shampoo & conditioners really do have an impact on ones hair wether it’s fine, thick, curly or gray..

I regret so much cutting my hair. i had thick wavy, layered hair with long curtain bangs. but my mom told me to get a trim, it now its a few inches off my shoulders. and they thinned it so much! these comments are making me cry harder tbh. school starts in a month help me. fun fact i am having a mental breakdown while writing this + crying
@xiaojiang123256 жыл бұрын
0:12 well you never know thick hair is usually a want but you never know maybe someone wants thin and shiny is nice but you can barley keep it to stay I have a friend who can do a no hair tie bun and I can't do it because my hair is too smooth it just comes undone so there are some down sides to shiny hair
@claire9065 жыл бұрын
My mom always tried to cut inches of my hair when I was around 7, and she did. My hair was past halfway my back but not to my bottom yet. She was like; Mom: “I won’t cut that much hair ok? Just 1 inch!” Young Me: “Ok...” *After* Young Me: AHHHHHH YOU CUT LIKE 6 INCHES OF IT!! Mom: Nope! That’s 1 inch. (SHE CUT MY HAIR JUST A LITTLE BELOW MY SHOULDERS) *Triggered*

I stopped watching after #6. How can "Normal" be the rarest hair type? If something is classed as "normal", that would indicate that it's the standard by which everything else is measured, therefore, "normal" hair should be the most common type.
@AnnaFresa17 жыл бұрын
It IS rare! Ask everybody around you. I bet most of them will answer that they have dry or oily hair. Or oily roots and dry ends, combination hair type (mostly occurs with bleached hair). It is usually people with natural, untreated hair that have normal type
@christinaromero92097 жыл бұрын
Your logic makes no sense. A "normal" body weight means a healthy weight, but the majority of people aren't in their healthy body weight range. Does this mean being overweight is normal? No.
@bintang1120037 жыл бұрын
This is actually my point... "normal" is the way things should be. The average... the standard... a "normal" weight is the ideal for your height / age and can be controlled. "Normal" hair is NOT normal and there's nothing much you can do about it. And given the fact that it is the rarest type, means that "normal" is actually abnormal.
@AnjanaMalini207 жыл бұрын
Like common sense is not so common !!
