A LOT of people telling me that Lumos and Nox doesn't work for them... Apparently, if you change your phone's region to United Kingdom, it will work (you could of course set it right back after). Give it a try if this tip isn't working for you.

I’ve found the issue. It’s not whether Siri is set to UK or US or whoever, it’s how you start Siri. It won’t work if you hold down the multi-use button to summon Siri. You have to have “listening for Hey Siri!” Enabled and say “Hey Siri, Lumos” YOU CAN ALSO SAY “Hey Siri, Accio ‘Instagram’” and it’ll open Instagram or whatever app you say in ‘ ‘

Siri is greatly underused and yet it’s so versatile. One of my favourite uses is to ask “Siri what movies are showing at the moment” to check the local showtimes and get a rundown of movie options and even provides and plays the film trailers instantly. Tip: If you have misplaced your board game dice. “Siri roll a dice” and get the result as if you had rolled the dice yourself. Works for coin flipping also “Siri flip a coin”.

ANOTHER brilliant and very useful video - thanks! I knew some of them…& reminded of others, but also learned new uses…I’m ALWAYS taking Screen Shots…easy on the iPad, but very fiddly on the iPhone - PROBLEM SOLVED!! :- )

@@ProperHonestTech Set the iPhone to tap 3 times on the back for a screenshot - much easier 🙂

@@davidpurple3698 Yeah, I've used that, although I found that even with 3 taps set (rather than double tap), it was triggering by accident more than I would have liked.

Setting reminders, alarms, turning them off.. and the indispensable use is in youtube while showering to skip a video or go back to a previous song for example, also to skip the ad.. thanks for the video

Another way to take a screenshot, which I’ve found invaluable since getting my Amazon Renewed XS, is by double tapping the back of my iPhone. You set it up as follows: Settings, Accessibility, Touch, Back Tap, Double Tap, Screenshot. It even works through my Pop Socket, and has stopped me accidentally either locking my iPhone or changing its volume. Doesn’t work on Mum’s iPhone 7, so guessing it’s just iPhones with Face ID/no Home button.

Love your videos and I'm attempting to view as many as possible. However, is there a written list of commands for Siri so that I can remember a particular function available? Great work. Keep it up.

I don't currently have such a list, although I'm exploring options for documenting the things covered in the video somehow.

Re: the translation feature, it would've been useful to point out that you can select a voice per language, some of which are tailored for a region, like Spanish (Spain or Mexico).
