10 Speed TCM Tuning Is Finally Here For The L5P Duramax!!! (4 Year Wait Is Over!)

Hey man I’ve been looking into getting an L5P and wanted to ask you some questions. I know you know a lot about these trucks so I figured you’d be one of the few people I’d trust talking to. Ive watched you for the last few years working on your truck so it’s awesome to see how far you’ve come since starting the channel. Can’t wait until you get the new 24!

Man I just bought one , super cool truck and gets alota compliments. But bro if you don't make alota money I'd stay away , the constant sensors and such that go out get expensive if alot go out . The paint on them is nice but not durable , scratches easily . And the def system is horrible , when something like the float goes out Instead of just changing the float you have to buy the whole entire system which is like 1500 Dollars . Or else the truck will go into limp mode and not let you drive it

Do you know of anyone who can make it lock the converter in 1st and also make the exhaust brake work in 1st?. I tow a lot in steep off road conditions and need the exhaust brake to work in the lowest gear. 2nd gear is just to fast. Makes me miss my 24 valve with 5 speed manual and BD brake.

Cant you unlock the tcm with the edge evoht2 tuner then download the files?

Not sure I only use hp tuners as they carry a warrantee unlike edge

@@DennyDiesel ok i was talking to my shop and they were saying they could unlock it with the edge tuner they were just waiting on the tuning from one of their suppliers, who are you going to get the tune files from?

@@ryana3522 I just watched a video a guy posted and yes he had the Tcm unlocked with the evo and then downloaded tunes which were switch on the fly tunes and the truck ran fine

I just bought an edge for my 22 L5P and I was just thinking that can you get a custom tune using the edge unlock

Was disappointed with the 10 speed trans tune. The 6 speed is still way quicker . Only way for the 10 speed to over come this loss would be some sort of skip shifting in my opinion !! Interested in seeing what y’all think about this ?

My 10 speed easily outruns by buddy's 6 both bone stock l5p. He has 10k more miles. 2018 vs 2021
