Denny, Maybe you can help me solve my problem. I have a 2015 GMC Duramax diesel that has developed a starting problem. Back before the problem first appeared I would start the engine without touching the accelerator. The truck would start and idle fine. Recently the truck will start but will die after running a few seconds. It will then take a lot of cranking and pumping of the accelerator to get it started again. Once started, it runs fine. The dealer said it's not throwing any codes and they don't want to just start changing parts (which I appreciate). Can you or anyone else reading this steer me in the right direction? Thanks.

on my 2019 Silverado Duramax I got a code to replace my Nox sensor, which I did. But now I'm getting fault code on the ECM P2294-00 fuel pressure Regulator 2 Control Circuit, and the same code on GPCM. The code won't clear - do I need to replace the pressure regulator? Thanks for any help you can offer me! Todd

I am in New Zealand and also have a 2017 3500 l5p that is showing a P0191 code says its fuel rail pressure sensor circuit A, I have already ordered a new sensor, the one that is on the right hand side under the air cleaner duct, not sure now if I have diagnosed this correctly, can clear this code while driving and sometimes can go for a couple of days without faulting and other days it will do it continuously , any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated, Thanks regards, Mark

Recently put L5P manifolds and up pipes on my L5P and besides removing the emissions it has been the best mod I’ve done to the truck. Egts are 200 degrees cooler way faster spool and less surge. Stock turbo but I just wanted to share

I guess I'm that one person that had 2019 L5P Duramax glow plug malfunction: Cause: glow plug ceramic tip breaks off, broken ceramic tip goes into #3 cylinder and destroys the engine at 30,000 miles. The Fix: New engine replacement including parts & labor $20,000. What Happened: Service engine light appears, took it to the GM dealer the next day, #3 Glow Plug Fault Code, diagnosis: glow plug ceramic tip broke off into #3 cylinder destroying engine, the damage has been done. first ever glow plug code. Correction: Replaced engine. has glow plug issue been resolved????????

sooooooo the same thing happen to my truck while hauling a heavy load mine was turned up 135+ hp "economy/ daily" tune issue with this engines the pistons cant handle the extra heat from being turned up without the egr i hope i can save my block and just be OK with swapping pistons out but with the current luck i doubt that will be the case

A little late to it but I’ve replaced the booster with the new one and drilled the hole out and did everything right to my knowledge but now it’s like the brake rod isn’t activating the brake switch, ( the brake switch is good, we pushed in the clip manually and it turned on the brakes) any info on what the problem could be

anyone heard about having to relearn the glow plugs with a bidirectional scanner tool after swapping them? I keep seeing that in all these manuals and forums for the 2017 L5P.

I jacked my torsion keys all the way up then took it to get aligned. The guy said he couldn’t do it cause the keys were maxed out. Idk if he just didn’t want to do the work or not but this was at NTB and they’ve done me dirty in the past

Seems like a whole lot of work just to run a larger filter than what GM designed. It is more important to do proper oil change intervals with quality lubricants and stay on routine maintenance then to mess with filter. A lot of guys don't even keep their trucks long enough to worry about long term impacts of small filter vs large...LOL

Who did you use for the tune itself?

I dont think its meant tear down further than that. BUT, of course, i need to go down further to replace those two arms. Im going to bend the flanges of those pins up enough so that they will come out. Hopefully i can just use a ball peen hammer on them during reassembly and fingers crossed they will hold. If they dont, ill either find a pipe and make new pins or maybe just use a bolt and smash the threads so nut cant back off after tightening. Or not, maybe leave the threads so the mirrors remain serviceable. Like they should be. So frustrating.

Totally painless! #4 pigtail in about 45 minutes. Perfect now. 156000 miles, only time I needed repair!
