GREAT Material !!! The monotone narration just ruins it.

In New Jersey black bears are practically big as a German Shepherd. But don't underestimate their strength by their size. For black bears just being intimidating by making yourself big and noisy. They even run from barking dogs.

For the record, it wasn't until the 70s or so that human activity was considered as a possible culprit in bear attacks. That is, cleaning up the dumps, not feeding the bears in the National Parks, and proper food storage for all forms of camping were not emphasized until then. I believe it wasn't until the Obama Administration that carrying fire irons in parks for self-defense was made legal.
