asian paints is not going to lose any market share as many analyst and babas say…many have come and failed. See the economy of scale, mass distribution network, brand value, backward integration.. how come any new player come and take away those .. its exploring into more avenues i am increasing my exposure

Hi Rohit! The home improvement business of Asian Paints is growing at a ~20% CAGR. But given the company's size, it is still a tiny part of the overall revenue. I think the entry of Asian Paints in the VAM/VAE market is interesting. Currently, Vinyl Chemicals (I) Ltd(held by promoters of Pidilite Industries) control the Indian market(by only importing). Entry in VAM will have a good impact on Vinyl Chemicals and its parent Pidilite Industries.

Asian pait will get arrected by competition of Grassim andJsw in maintainig margin.secondreason is Saidi has declaredreduction production of crude by 5 lak barrels. per dAy 😭

I think Asian paints dream run is over. Grasim is pissed since Asian paints entered putty segment n now grasim are doing 10000Cr capex in paints industry. So the current gross block of 20000Cr of paint industry gives a turnover of 60000Cr. Hence an asset turnover of 3. Now with grasim s capex, the gross block sud increase to 50000 Cr in 5 years since other will increase their capex too in order to compete. But the turnover will only remain 1 lakh Cr as paint industry grows 2 to 2.5 tyms the gdp only. So the asset turnover will become 2. Hence the PE de rating will happen from 60 to 40ish. So this will affect the growth of all paints company, esp Asian paints.

Plz be note that Grasim is coming in a big way and it will definitely take good amount of market share and that will further hamper the Asian paint margin. One should wait for one more year to see the whether the paint king will retain its position or not.

Ok, Grasim industries which earns a return of capital just barely covering its costs is coming into a sector dominated by experienced players and in a big way as well. Hmm, so basically they would have to put in more and more money and probably maintain lower margins at the entry. This will reduce the ROCE further of the conglomerate. This reduces their cash generation as well. These are detrimental to the share holders of grasim. They should extend where they are good not being or wanting the biggest paint company. This should be seriously concerning for the share holders!!!

The quality of paint has no comparision with any other product... The paint means Asian, no doubt about it... We are recently consumers of that paints and really satisfied with their service.... The dealer tried us to give other options initially, but my wife sticked with Asian only... Fortunetly only for this time she was correct 😂
