By no means demure in nature nor elision in her words, her voice made him feel effervescent as he imagined to be with her by the inglenook in his house on a cold winter day. Hi, Lucy Madame. I am a South Asian speaker of english who watched your videos recently. Really amazing! I recall a sentence : A good teacher can make even boring lessons interesting. I feel archaism in some words that you had mentioned in this video. Eg: Lithe

My favourite word in english (or one of them) is "envelope" - not because of its meaning, just because it sounds exceptionally sophisticated to my German ears 😄 (might be because we call it BRIEFUMSCHLAG - it's got the rough German R and the hissed German SH in it, also the part "Umschlag" is a term of the word group "to hit" so... Yeah. Not as beautiful)

Fair, as in beautiful or juste... that’s my favorite word, it’s of pure English etymology, comes from old English’s Fæger, meaning pleasing or attractive, and pronounced like Feh-yer (roll the R), æ is pronounced like A, as in ash but with an American accent (not like British “Aw”)
