Many of my fellow Americans need to watch this video! I don’t know why being as flagrantly sexy became such a thing here, it isn’t anywhere else, especially Europe. Subtle sexiness is much more attractive and I have always preferred more modest looks in general. I don’t think my body was created just to titillate men!

Aahhh...the skanky K sisters. Great examples Miss Alice. In my circle no one dresses like this but... my friends daughters are logo obsessed!. They watch too many influencers who tell them they need a Chanel classic flap or a Hermès Kelly bag etc. They need to pay off their college debt first...lol

Thank you for your honesty. As an American I feel like an odd one out. The Kardashians are truly trashy. I don't understand how they have a hold on so many American women. Maybe it's because I'm first generation American. My mother was very demure and classy. Also I love how you say skanky. Also, is that a Sezanne blouse? I think I have the same one.❤❤❤

Underwear is so important, yours so right, but it’s usually ignored. My rule is “no visible underwear”, no bra straps or VPLs. Here in the US, it’s common to see bra straps everywhere, even with spaghetti-strap camisoles. I see bumpy or visible-seam bras all the time and the wrong color bra, too. I only wear smooth-cup “t-shirt bras” in nude and black, depending on the color of my top or dress. A white bra always shows through. I see a lot of light-color bras worn under dark knits, it looks awful, as do black bras or panties under light colors, also very common here. I like a cycling-short style panty, again in nude or black, they disappear under clothing. All other modern panties are cut diagonally across the buttocks, which make them not only show through clothing, but ride up, the cycling-short style eliminates both problems. We wore bikini panties in my youth (70s), but they were cut so that the bottom edge of the panty went into the crease between bottom and thighs. These were so comfy and never showed. I hate riding-up, or otherwise uncomfortable, underwear. I like the stretchy silk-blend bras from Lily Silk, they’re the most comfy and simple ever (little to no lift, though).

I agree with all of these points, Alice. I love bodycon dresses, but midi versions, not mini. I don't own any minis anyway, as they are not comfortable in public, for me. Leggings without the long top are bedroom attire, in my opinion. I don't know what message women are trying to send by being so exposed in public -- don't they want to reserve it for their romantic partner? I am a native New Yorker and any elegant Upper East Sider would never wear that Carrie Bradshaw dress in public. It looks like a nightgown and it's actually cheap and frumpy. I agree with everyone else, your dress is gorgeous.

Hello Liz I do have herve Leger dresses but long. Bodycon is ok when it is long or midi. The short version is ok for the beach only. Mini bodycon was trendy in the 90s and should remain in the 90s. Definitely not Upper east or Midtown style... thank you the dress is from sezane

@@Aliceinparisofficial One style principle I like and try to follow is to have only one modest revealing element somewhere, subtle and mysterious. It is like not having too much makeup on, it ruins the impact of one feature that attracts attention -- too many cancel each other out. I will have to look at Herve Leger again.

Totally agree with this video I personally have never owned or would a pair of ripped jeans detest this fashion trend same for the revealing leggings & top, crop just cheapens the look further than it is. False lashes Botox lips 👄 don’t even go there so over this disgusting look. Never Will understand the bird mouth look or the brooms on your eyes. 🙈loved the whole video spot on with everything you said for me 💯 🙏
