Hey may i suggest something small: Is it possible for you to put the name of whatever game youre talking about faintly in the corner of the screen? Sometimes i get distracted for a second and I miss the part where you say the name of the game, then get halfway through what you're saying and think "that sounds cool id like to try that" and I KNOW this is a first world problem (big time), but if you dont happen to mention the title again its a little annoying to have scrub 30-50sec previous just to hear the name and then scrub back to where i was. Having the name of each game just hover at like 40% opacity in the corner wouldn't be too annoying and itd fix that problem for me. Anyway, love the videos. Peace and all the best! ✌

How did you guys miss out on The Long Dark, one of the greatest, most beautiful and brutal solo game experiences ever made? TLD was built as a story game, with solo mode as just a side option. They rolled out sandbox first to get things going while they worked on the story, and in doing so created the most AMAZING single player game ever made. TLD is single player gaming done to perfection. Whether it's two minutes or 2000 hours, you don't play TLD you live it. You feel it. You experience it. Staggeringly beautiful, painfully immersive, and absolutely unwinnable. Nobody, anywhere, on this planet, not one SINGLE ONE of any of us who has ever payed it has beaten it. You can't beat it. It's not about winning, it's about doing every single thing you can to stave off the inevitable. It's not about the goal, it's about the fight. Every run ends with you dying. Cannot be avoided. TLD's unique beauty is in how it invests you emotionally in doing everything you can to keep that at bay for just one day more. It is "single player" gaming cranked up to 11.

One I would like to add as an honorable mention is : "Her Story" (on Steam) Telling a story through the eyes of an anomalous character who is investigating a murder through a computer data base using only keywords that occurred during clips the interview of the individual. The mention of Senua's Sacrifice reminded me of this game as the performance by only this one actress is so well done that by the time you encounter "the twist", you are surprised and impressed that she was able to pull it off. Even after you discovered the twist, (around 50% playtime) it is still worth looking into other clips to see it pieces together. For being a 2-5 hour long game, I think this is another gem not many talk about.

Why do you little kids obsess over this game so much?.. it's such a generic boring shooter. Literally only has one thing going for it and that's the plot twist that changes your life(for 5 minutes) so other than that it's not a great game by any means nor is it special in any way whatsoever. KZbinrs talk about it way too much and it's getting old and annoying hearing about it all the time all over KZbin. Time to move on and find a game to talk about that is actually good and leave The Line in the sand...

E.Y.E.: DIvine Cybermancy- a Source Mod that became a game, that's janky as hell, has a completely non-sensical surrealist story, and yet is still one of the best Deus Ex-like badass simulators we've gotten all decade. Alpha Protocol- Obsidian's buggiest release, it also features their deepest RPG system and choice and consequence model. There are so many ways to manipulate the story, it's insane. Darksiders II: my "comfort food" game, the second installment built on the orignal's "what if Zelda, but heavy metal?", and added Prince of Persia-esque parcour elements, and a loot system that actually had me caring about my builds for the first time since Diablo II. Oh, and amazing enemy variety, which is something Vigil/Gunfire have always been great at. Also, last year's GreedFall: Spiders have been iterating on their action-RPG formula for the entire decade, and their latest game is the closest we get these days to pre-Dragon Age II Bioware. Interesting setting, engaging story, minimal bloat, and a decently fun RPG & combat system . Not an earth-shattering game, but still one of my top games of last year.
