The thing about the word Messiah was that, in the days before the Bible was written-more specifically before the New Testament- messiah wasn't at all connected to divinity; with the exception of being the modem day equivalent of a monarch. Just as in the days of the Old Testament, kings were annointed with oil on their heads to show that they were chosen BY the "divine", but it was usually the high priests with a majority concession of the people of the particular nation. Messiah is simply a very specific term to show that the MAN was annointed by "God". Nothing more, nothing less. People mistake the title of Messiah as a savior which they COULD have been, but only if they were a good ruler.

Jesus Christ is known as Isa Masih (AS) and has titles of "Ruhullah" (The Spirit of God") and "Dan Kalimatullah" (The Word of God"). During his days, the "Kalma" or "Declaration of Islamic faith" was "La ilaha illa'Allah, Isa Ruhullah" (There is no god but Allah and Isa is the Spirit of Allah). He is the second last Prophet of Islam and spiritually a brother of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as mentioned in a Hadith. Jesus Christ, along with Imam Mahdi (Imam means Leader and Mahdi means Redeemer), is the central figure of Islamic Armaggaedon. It is believed that during the End Times and after the advent of the one eyed Anti-Christ who will spread disbelieve and mislead 98% of Earth's Population, Imam Mahdi will rise and lead the Muslims, the remaining 2%. He will pave the way for the Arrival of Jesus Christ and prepare the Muslims. Some sources say Imam Mahdi will rule for 7 years, some say his reign will be for just 40 days. Imam Mahdi will rule from The Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Temple Mount, in Jerusalem. When the Anti-Christ will lay seige to Jerusalem, Imam Isa (Jesus the Leader) will descend in Damascus and reach Jerusalem. After Imam Mahdi leads the Fajr prayers, Isa will fight the Anti-Christ and kill him in one strike. Afterwards, Imam Isa will rule the world as one Caliphate and the religion will be of Islam, a time of global peace and abundance. Imam Isa will pass away at the age of 73 and his funeral prayer will be prayed and he will be burried in Medina, next to Prophet Muhammad's tomb in the Mosque of the Prophet (Al Masjid An Nabawi). To this day a grave is reserved just beside the tomb of Prophet Muhammad for Jesus Christ.
