I visited from New Zealand and loved it! Gorgeous country, lovely kind people! And forgot to mention my eldest son fell in love with a Hungarian girl there who so very reluctantly left her family in Hungary to travel to New Zealand and stayed here to marry him and had two beautiful children. Her parents manage to travel to NZ every three years

Im hungarian too its really pretty i know .did you visit a vilage i live in gyomere find my house i dont live there but my grandma does i live in england cus im eight and i have to live with my family it has blue fence so ypu drive from thr gyomere train station turn right keep going until you see a turn you will see a pink house and then another house after it and after that house is my grandmas house also i have two goats but please dont knock she cant speak english :3

If you look at most registers that record names in the western world, they will have surnames first as well, separated from the first name with a comma. So it is only logic, or common sense in other words.

I'm a programmer and Hungarian too. This logic depends on the "why" of the search. Because if we are looking in a place for someone, every Smith will be in the group of "Smith" because they are family and it's a bigger group than "Andrew" who is a person. If I create a class hierarchy, the "Smith" will be the parent if we are talking about home address for example as parent class of both. Just an idea. Probably that's why the original last names were homes or jobs: Andrew of York or Andrew the Smith. But in all cases the surname is a "unit" of people from origin.

He means, the treaty teared a lot of families apart. Mothers, grandmothers from their children. A lot of Hungarian people stuck out of the new border, for example, the mans of Erdély. This thing were painful, not just because the lands they took from us. For me, its not too personal, all of my living family members was born after that, i don't need to travel trough the country to visit my grandparents, but some of us do that. Gábor V: Trianon was not a treaty, it was a inhuman, cruel dictate. It was the biggest mistake of the 20th century. Fully hungarian territories were given to alien countries. Villages, towns inhabited by 90% or even 100% hungarians. The hungarian delegation was even not allowed to get into the Trianon negotiations. The hungarian prime minister never signed. It was a full blackmailing. The neighboring countries wanted to annihilate Hungary, a 1000 year old country and steal all Hungary's lands. But it's 2018 now and we are still here, and going strong.

Hungary actually makes a lot better case for not being part of Eastern Europe. I wouldn't call it Central though, but just straight up Western. Unlike Slovakia, Poland and Czechia though which ehtnically and linguistically are similar to the rest of Eastern Europe. It's just a superiority complex these countries have so that they come up with an artificial term to "cut" ties with the bad rep Eastern Europe comes with. Just look how sensitive they get if they are referred to Eastern Europe. As if they are not slavs, not Christians, as if they were not behind the Iron Curtain, as if corruption is not very high (esp in Hungary and Slovakia). Nobody ever refers to Austria and Germany as Central European countries and Austrians/Germans themselves refer to Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia as Eastern Europe. Go figure.

I have yet to visit Hungary, but it is literally the land of my father. He was born near Budapest and came to USA after the failed October Revolution of 1956. My father returned for a visit about 8 years before he died, and I'm so glad he did. I now have tons of photos of my father visiting family I've never met in his homeland. Addendum to the reverse order of names - we also write the name of the town/city/village first, the street name next and the number of the house last. The logic is : you approach from the most general to the particular. If you see 45 first, you are a bit stuck but if you see Tokaj first, you are directed to the right area straightaway. Just like with names, you can have numberless people called István (Stephen) but if you read the surname first, you are already closer to finding the person. So who does it in reverse order? ;o)

Technically, it is better to say "family" name and "forename" instead of first name and last name. And it is not written backwards but in a reversed order. For better understanding, we call it as "keresztnév", where "kereszt" is referring to "keresztelő", the christening process. "Családnév" is also simple, where "család" means "family". About the numbers. Based on the official report of KSH (Központi Statisztikai Hivatal, Hungarian Central Statistical Office), the export surplus is 9.9 billion euros (2016). The biggest part of the export is "machinery and transport equipment" with over 57% share of the whole export (other mentionable are food products and tobacco with 7,1% and processed products with 31.2%). It is interesting to mention that the highest value of export is cars, yet the highest value of import are car parts and accessories. The reason: we have many car manufacturing plants: Audi (Győr), Mercedes-Benz (Kecskemét), Suzuki (Esztergom) and Opel (Szentgotthárd). There are also dozens of huge companies supplying products for car manufacturers (Bosch, Continental, Denso, ZF). And we have one of the biggest R&D center for Kuka Robotics. Fun fact: we call the trashbin as "kuka" as well the garbage truck as "kukás autó", just after the well known Kuka A.G. (nowadays one of the leader robot manufacturer). Funny mispronounciations aside, this was a surprisingly high quality, well researched and well balanced presentation about Hungary coming from an outsider, originating from a far-away, overseas country. It makes me double proud of the young Canadian presenter, because I am a naturalized Canadian citizen of Hungarian origin. A little trivia which ties our two countries together, that Canada was the one and only country in the World, who in response to the 1956-57 refugee crisis following the beaten Hungarian Revolution, pledged the acceptance of unlimited Hungarian refugees. Characteristically, that noble declaration came quite early, in 1956 November, just days after the Soviet military intervention crushed the uprising. That contrasts well and rather sharply not only to some smaller European countries, where the pledges came later, somewhat hesitantly, with partly understandable number limitations attached to it, but even to the US, who also had (and still has) vast thinly populated lands, just like Canada, yet it limited the refugees' number to six thousand and five-hundred. An auxiliary note however, that after some vacillation, the initial US limit was revised upward. Still, I believe that a difference existed then, the same way, as it exists now. Long live a prosperous, independent Canada, as well as a prosperous independent Hungary! Long live their tried and true friendship!

Why is she a hooker? Because she is successful? Do you think this works like this? Not on her level. She will walk at the Victoria's Secret Show 2nd time this year. Really? Do you even know how this works at all? Because I do. I know people who are working in this industry. And that's right: this is business. She looks good? Yes. She has great heritage from her parents. Her Hungarian parents, do not forget. But that's not all. Most of the models at her level has to workout at least once a day, but several do it 2-3 times (training, boxing, etc.). They have to keep their body in perfect shape for a particular job and they reach it to be like a professional athletes. And a photo shooting takes about 10 hours a day, keeping sometimes positions that looks good but it's hard to keep it up long. Just to understand: they have an indicator to how much fat they can have on her body for a VS Fashion Show - and that's the same as a professional athlete's. And a hooker is a giving sex for money. Please show me any proof about that from her. She has a boyfriend. I'm really interested if she has about 5 million dollars and a boyfriend, why in the hell would she create a situation where she become a hooker? Or when she where younger? Her mother were everywhere. So her mother is a pimp? This thinking is one of the bad things about my country... You are an example of what I don't like about our general thinking about several people that we don't even know at all. Well, I know some people that can prove that I'm right. Are you?

I see your point. So the soccer player also a shame (even the best) because they nothing but playing the game they love. Or the waterpolo players (and we are good at that). They are just swimming and playing and they like it. So why in the hell are we paying them at all? And no. I don't think everybody can do what they do. Just to be fit? Yes. You can, I can, everybody can (or most of us). But to be in perfect shape? That's a different story. Did you ever try it? I trained in wing tsun for 6 days a week and did workout at the same time for months... Do you think this is easy? And it's "just" 2-3 hours of my day. That's being fit (and study martial arts at the same time). If i'd be a model, it would take about 3-6 hours a day to first become in perfect shape and at least 3 hours a day with different training to keep it up after I reached that point. And I'd have to: they make the dresses ready for one size and they don't really enjoy if you change your sizes in the last minutes. And that's only training. Also check your eating habits, be careful what you say in public, etc... AND I'm Hungarian. Do NOT question that again, because you don't have the right to do so. We Hungarians are not shamed but jelaous about someone's success and we behave viciously several times. Not just with models. And yes, there is a base for this because several celebs are real shame, but judge someone to be a hooker? Now that tell's more about you if you don't know her personally or someone who can prove it to you... És mégegyszer, ne merd megkérdőjelezni, hogy magyar vagyok-e, mert az vagyok és ezt én döntöm el. Itt születtem és éltem egész életemben, Budapesten, tehát semmi jogod ezen egyáltalán vitázni sem. Elég sok kedves honfitársam ekkora paraszt, mint te, hogy minden alap nélkül másokat gúnyolnak/elítélnek/gusztustalan jelzőkkel illetnek, mert ez egy (rossz) szokás itt és ezt senki sem tagadhatja, elég megnézni a Fb kommenteket bármilyen híres emberről. És hogy értsd magyarul is: nem abból áll a munkája, hogy jól néz ki és esetleg elmegy a kondiba, mint bárki más. Ezt nyugodtan mondom neked, voltam már 1-2 fotózáson a stúdióban, láttam, hogy még amatőr modelek is mennyit szívnak... És egyik sem volt "eladó", pedig ők messze voltak még Barbika sikerétől... Ha úgy menne, ahogy gondolod, akkor az olyanok, mint a fentebb említett Gigi Hadid nem menne dolgozni, mivel apuci úgyis multimilliomos arab, mi a ráknak adná el magát szex formában? A családja kitagadná másnap, több pénztől esne el, mint amennyit valaha keresni fog... Ugyanez igaz több másik modelre is, van aki pl. uralkodói családba házasodott. Szerinted ott megtűrik a ribancokat? A lány semmi rosszat nem tett, sőt, az átlag magyar 20-onéveshez képest kiválóan viselkedik. Normál módon bejárt a gimibe, amikor pedig már rakat pénzt keresett, nem hagyta ott az átlagos sulit... Mégis mit kellene tennie? Eldobni x millió dollárt, mert néhány magyar nem bírja ésszel, hogy ez is egy munka, méghozzá nehéz?

Tehát nem termelsz semmit? Ennyit a gazdasági érzékedhez... Hallottál már a reklám szóról? Mert a model ugye ennek a gépezetnek a része. Ők adják el a terméket, amit valaki legyárt. Méghozzá igen hatékonyan. És nem csak divat terméket. Egy ilyen sikeres model, mint ő, már "influencer" kategória, több milliós követő listával, tehát bármit vállal fel, azt sokan fogják követni... Főleg fiatal lányok pl... És ezért pozitív, hogy normálisan viselkedik, ellenben negatív, hogy azt hallják róla, hogy kurva, meg hogy mit csinált a sikerért (amit valójában senki nem bizonyít, csak szöveg)... Tehát termelnek, mert nélkülük a bevétel komoly része menne a szemétbe. És nem egyedül teszik, hanem ugye van körülöttük egy stáb is, akiknek ugyancsak munkát adnak, mint a fotós, sminkes, stylist, meg a többiek, beleértve a profi grafikust. De ez ugye nem termelés? Hallottál már a "szolgáltatás" szóról? Elméletben pl. a helpdesk sem termelő dolog, hiszen nem hozol létre a világon semmit. Csakhogy már létező dolgokat tartasz működésben, vagy javítasz ki, tehát segíted egy termelő valami működését. Felfogod te ezt? Ez a különbség pl. IT esetén a Project és az Operation között. A Project új dolgot hoz létre, az Operation működésben tartja azt. Elvben az Operation résztvevői nem termelnek, viszont az, amit üzemeltetnek, az igen. Így megy a modellel is. Maga nem termel, de amit elad az a TERMÉK. Ha minden csak maga az "ipar" lenne nyersen, akkor lenne kb. egy termék, amiről soha a büdös életben nem hallanál semmit, meg szinte senki más sem, kivéve a gyár mellett élőket. Amint elkészíted az első plakátot, amin csak sima szöveg van, máris "felesleges" munkát végeztél, ami igazából "nem termel". Viszont mégis ettől veszik meg a rohadt termékedet a szomszéd faluban, mert végre hallanak róla. Értjük? Tanulj egy kis alapvető közgázt. És tisztelt Shadowka, ne keverd össze a pornó színésznőt (mellesleg még ő sem kurva) a divatmodelekkel. Az, ha te (vagy a haverjaid, vagy akárki) rájuk veri, az ő dolga, de nem ezért léteznek, lényegében, ha belegondolnál, a nők kedvéért vannak főleg, mert NEKIK adják el a cuccokat, a férfiaknak max. kedvet adnak, hogy megvegyék a nőiknek. Ezt mutatja is a fizetésük. A legjobban kereső férfi model 1.5 millió dollárt keres 1 év alatt, a nők közül a legjobban kereső 50 millió körül. Szerinted miért a különbség? Mert a nők shoppingolnak, nekik adod el a TERMÉKET, a férfiak másképp állnak a piachoz, bár érdekli őket nyilván egy-egy márka. És mitől lesz undorító, ha valaki ismert? Az összes tudós is ismert, az összes híres író is "híres", attól tudod meg, hogy mi a francot tettek, hogy híresek. A filmeket talán sosem nézed? Azokat is azért ismered, mert híresek. Zenét se hallgatsz? Akkor mit csinálsz itt eredetileg? A KZbin-ot láthatóan igen, szerinted ez egy valójában hasznos termék? Mire is van? Celebek zenés videóit nyomatja főleg, az hozza a legtöbb bevételt itt, meg ugyancsak a REKLÁMOK. Amikben kik szerepelnek? Celebek és modelek. Hűha. Te mégis használod. Ezzel hozzájárulsz ahhoz, hogy létezzenek, mert okot adsz rá te magad is. És miféle alapvető morális dolgokról beszélsz te? Segítek: anyám tanár, iskola igazgató (most ment nyugdíjba épp az évben). Szerinted nem adott semmilyen kultúrális értéket? Az hol morális érték, hogy kurvának nevezek valakit, mert model? Az a valós kultúrális érték, hogy először utánanézek, hogy az illető milyen ember és UTÁNA ítélkezem. Mert ez a felelős gondolkodás. Amit te "morális" értéknek nevezel az más szótárban "előítélet". Esetleg kombinálod fajgyűlölettel is? Te mitől vagy magyar? Mert eddig csak a negatív szokásainkat mutattad fel... Önmagad hazudtolod meg a saját szövegeddel, ha azt pont a KZbin-on próbálod átadni, ahol azok "élősködnek", akiket te undorítónak tartasz... De minden taps neked a közgazdasági hozzáértésedért.

Csucsuka Gabriella Harcsa I used to be proud to be half Hungarian, and I used to take advantage of the fact in order to gain quick acceptance among 'full-blooded' Hungarians. But modern DNA analysis tends to mock at traditional concepts of 'blood', doesn't it? Also I realized that Magyars, though persecuted by stronger nations (Russia being the prime example), have also persecuted minorities living among them, sometimes ruthlessly. As the Bible says, 'FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.' No nation's hands are clean. So I have lost most of my 'pride', and feel none the worse for that. There is a greater citizenship to which God calls those who believe in His Son: (Galatians 3:28) 'There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.'
